About this deal

The MAM 0+/ 2-6+ Soothers are ideal up to the age of 6 months as they offer a smaller teat and shield for younger babies. The MAM 6+ Soothers are suitable from 6 months of age until one year as they provide a larger teat and shield than the 0+/ 2-6+ range but a smaller teat than MAM's 12+/ 16+ soother range. The MAM 12+/ 16+ Soothers being the largest of the MAM teats are ideal for older babies to use from 1 year of age until soother use stops. You should not use a soother if your baby is crying because they are due a feed. A soother must never replace a feed. Dummy clips should never be worn when your child is in their cot or sleeping. Babies should always be supervised when wearing a dummy clip to ensure their safety. Soother expert, Clare Byam-Cook shares her top tips You are unlikely to need a soother when you're walking baby in a pram or buggy, as the movement should soothe your baby.

Some research suggests using a soother when putting a baby down to sleep could reduce the risk of SIDS. Strict EU regulations surround the design and safe manufacturing of dummy clips. It means that any sold via a reputable retailer have to go through stringent tests to ensure the safety of your baby. MAM's range of dummies offers both latex and silicone, which both have substantial benefits as soother materials. Silicone does not age, has no taste and is slightly harder than latex. Latex is the more bite resistant of the two, with silicone, which although bite-resistant must be thrown away as soon as the first bite marks appear. If you think your baby may need a soother material that is more bite-resistant then maybe latex would be the better choice for you! Latex is also a naturally grown product, giving it pure and natural qualities which many parents value. When your baby is sleeping, you do not need to remove their soother; however, you do need to remove a dummy clip. If the dummy falls out once your child is asleep, you do not need to re-insert it. If you're struggling to get your baby to take a pacifier in the first place, it may be worth investing in a dummy for breastfed babies.
