There is an ambush pack promo available for the game, and while I usually don't like promos, this is a perfect way to expand the types and shapes of monsters available for the game.The goal is to eventually establish a seat of power there, but Queen Gimnax is very particular about where that seat will be established. Everything is done very professionally with this company and always lets you know every step of the process. However these lands are scarred by war and it takes a brave soul to go up against the Dragul forces who are determined to foil the Queens plans for expansion.

There are touches in the game designed to push your individual journey on all fronts, from the design of your own court of arms, all the way through to how you add goblins to your opponents sheets whenever there is a raid. As long as they can see the terrain cards and the scoring cards then you can have as many people play as you have sheets. Players examine their maps to determine how many reputation stars they’ve earned according to the current season’s two Edicts. At the start of the game, you draw four random scoring conditions and place them beneath cards A through D.Only one set of Explore cards can be used in any game, either from the original set or from the expansion. When the game draws to a close at the end of four seasons, the person who has accumulated the highest score wins. But nowadays, if I’m feeling like playing a board game while I’m going to use a pencil, Voyages is my choice, simply because of the variety it offers. I like the objectives in it more, and I prefer the ruins cards to the heroes/monsters with special powers of the Heroes expansion.

I’ve noticed for years a trend that before I finish reading an article my head anticipates he will be less than enthused. Every so often you'll draw a ruins card so the next shape must overlap a ruins space, or more excitedly, you'll draw a Goblin raid card, and that means you get to take one of the other player sheets and draw a little goblin shape on it. All of these decisions are good trade-offs, and there is rarely a "right" answer, at least when the game begins. You then need to surround the goblin spaces with other squares as any left will count as negative points when it comes to scoring Once you've played through all four rounds then the game ends and you move on to final scoring and the winner will be decided. So in essence the longer the player leaves those spaces open, the more negative points they will acquire .Play it out, tally the scores, that was fine, let’s move on to something more challenging, sociable, and fun.
