About this deal

I thought I would share my monthly favourites for May. A pretty exciting month for me, planning a trip to Vietnam in June (accommodation all finalised... crazy exciting!) and handing everything in to get admitted to the Bar in June as well! So all in all, a month of planning and preparation.

Its such a beautiful shade, and is unlike any other cream eyeshadow Ive ever tried. I cannot rave about this shade enough, its amazing and looks so multidimensional on the lids. Overall, Barely Beige is another nice addition to your Color Tattoo wardrobe if you love these cream shadows from Maybelline. It’s a nice highlighting color or great for a sheer wash of color. It’s also a nice Bare Study-like shade, I wouldn’t say a complete dupe but fairly similiar. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when If you like duochrome eyeshadows, or colour changing shades, you need the MAC Bougie Pro Longwear Paint Pot in your life All images belong to me.

Latest Eyeshadow Palettes Reviews

Very heavily scented, that heavy 'grandma's house' smell of rose. If you love the rose smell, you will go for this, if not, steer clear! Pretty handy handbag size. I prefer MAC’s Bare Study because it’s lighter and more subtle, but it really depends on your personally preference and skin type. I find that Bare Study doesn’t have to blended in as much and gives a light wash of color, which I prefer. My sister likes Barely Branded better because she has oily eyelids and finds that Bare Study creases on her. Have you tried out these 2 products? Which one is your favorite? I cannot express my love for this in less words. I use this mostly as a base under my shadows. I apply it with my ring finger and sheer it out. It gives me around 4-5 hours of creaseless wear. On most days when I do not have enough time to apply anything as hubby is out of the house in 5 minutes, I apply this as a light wash on the lids with a kajal/liner and it gives a nice sheen on my lids. Also, it is really mousse soft and allows great blendability , but once it sets, youre good for hours. I also use this as a highlight for my browbone, nose, cupids bow and on top of the cheeks. This is the most-used product in my vanity. Don't know which is which, eh? Well, that's awesome because that means you'll be able to get MAC's Bare Study for a little less than MAC's price. If you've ever wanted Bare Study then you only have to get Maybelline's Barely Branded Color Tattoo.

MAC describes the MAC Paint Pot Bougie as being a red brown with green pearl, but that description just doesnt do the shade justice, nor does my swatch. How To Make Sure You Choose The Right Mac Paint Pot Bare Study

One of the differences between these two products is the textures. Bare Study has a more smooth creamy texture that is very flexible when it comes to blending. Barely Branded has a more adhesive texture that makes it harder to blend once its set, however I suspect that it has to do with the lasting power of the 'tattoo' effect. The other difference is the lasting power. Bare Study tends to waver a bit during the day, but always stays visible. Barely Branded stays where you left it for a long ass time. The Best of the Best kit came in a handy travel bag, stuffed full of makeup and skincare goodies. I can say that for most of the original paint pots that I used (prior to this current release), these statements are very true. But as you’ll see for some of these new ones, they are not always true. If you have also seen my first review on these MAC Paint Pots ( here), you may know I’m talking about. The original ones are much smoother and creamier, without a slightest sense of patchiness. The texture was moderately emollient with some slip but it wasnt as prone to sheering out nor as slippery as some of the other pearl finish shades in the range. MAC Layin Low Layin Low is a warm beige with a matte finish. Good to hear they are permanent to the paint pots. After i'd rinsed my hair until the water ran clear i used the conditioner provided and left it on for approximately 5 mins then rinsed it again. After i had dryed my hair it felt lovely and soft and looked very shiny.Rimmel Scandaleyes in Taupe: Wow. How amazing are the price and formulation of these babies?! I can't recommend them enough- creamy formula, comfortable to apply, great pigmentation, blendable but then also stay put. I don't think there's anything more to ask of an eyeliner? Nope, there's not. I love this shade in particular as it gives such subtle definition.
