The reason I wanted to read this book is because I was first introduced to the writing of Nancy Holder from her Buffy the Vampire Slayer novelizations. Thank you for that very unnecessary detail that only managed to annoy me and get Lady Gaga's "Hair" stuck in my head. She lives in San Diego, California, with her daughter Belle, their two Corgis, Panda and Tater; and their cats, David and Kittnen Snow. Holder does an outstanding job of pacing the action and emotional moments carefully, creating a cohesive and satisfying reading experience. The Kanima is a mutation of the werewolf gene that cannot fully transform until it resolves that in its past which manifest it.

I've never read a book based off of a movie or television series before, but I'm glad I did in this case. For example, a Kitsune’s aura can be seen by either supernatural creatures with enhanced vision or through flash photography. The Bestiary was commissioned by MTV as a 32-page comprehensive guide to the supernatural creatures that appeared on Teen Wolf through its first four seasons. At this point the wolf kind of "woke up" and as she got up and started running again, she had to fight it from jumping out and biting the girl that pushed her.Maybe it is because when the TV show is one of my favorites so I had high expectations for this book and we all know, "high expectations lead to disappointments. The bond between master and servant grew stronger until the will of the master became that of the Kanima's and whomever the priest deemed unworthy, the Kanima served his vengeance. Glowing green eyes, retractable claws and fangs, pronounced brow, elongated ears, widow's peaks, and sideburns, and blue-purplish skin.

I chose Athena (the goddess of wisdom and combat strategy) as the presenter of the crest, since women are the decision makers in the family’s Werewolf hunting pursuits. The attempts at going further into the Werewolf mythology/Werewolf verse were feeble and a bit laughable.

Mostly, this book just lacks the wit, sarcasm, and whedonesque irreverent horror of the television show.

Sometimes with these things it's like the author only half-watched the show and just wanted a nice paycheck. The themes of loyalty and trust also play big roles in On Fire, as we see the pack grapple with their relationships with one another. A scene I remember is that she was running a race and another girl shoved her, causing her to fall to the ground and injure her ankle, making it bleed.
