Yorkshire is a county littered with golfing history. And the city of Sheffield is no different with plenty of excellent golf courses to choose from. While a shorter course, it’s certainly not an easy course. It features rolling greens, plenty of rough areas and hazards, and plenty of plant life. The course is made up of rolling greens and is set on the Beauchief Estate, so the surroundings are filled with stunning views anywhere you turn as you play. 2. Testing on the course, both balls had similar ball flights, albeit the Pro V1x flew a touch higher. The only times I noticed a deviation in trajectory was when playing into a cross wind with the SD-01. While it didn’t necessarily lose distance, it struggled to penetrate the wind and resulted in me having to play with the wind, rather than hold a shot up against it. Enhanced overall performance by improving ball speed, increase in distance through the bag and an improved softer feel for more responsiveness off the club (particularly the shorter clubs and putter). Scotland were made to settle for second place after an entertaining 3-3 draw with Norway as Spain clinched top spot by beating Georgia 3-1.
The greens are always kept in good condition by the greens-keepers, so they always run smoothly. Final Thoughts About half an hour from Sheffield city centre, this 18-hole course is 125 years old and gives a mature, dramatic woodland feel with the natural beauty and roaming wildlife.
