This scent is absolutely unique, sophisticated and I think that it’s just one of those fragrances that not everyone will like as it may be a bit too bold.

It reminds me of the therapeutic bliss of heavy rain on a garden: the grassy soil is wet and you are smelling the thorny pink roses among the invading mint foliage, if you come closer both these scents intertwine with the waft of icy air and petrichor and imprints on memory forever.

Very minor notes of cannabis, so if you're worried about smelling like weed I wouldn't be concerned with this scent. It includes notes of Carnation, Wild Mint, Turkish Rose Essence, Hemp Leaves, Vetiver Roots and White Amber. Unfortunately, this turns weird, headache and puke inducing and downright awful real fast (on my skin) and from then until it finally disappears (which by the way takes forever 14-18 hours on my skin), it is just linear herbaceous/sharp/metallic and 🤢🤮.

There's something kind of space-agey about it, like a floral perfume devoid of all floral gentleness and sweetness. I had smelled it in a strip of paper at Sephora and liked it so I asked for a small sample to take home. Beautiful but dangerous, enchanting but mysterious, charming but mischievous… Florabotanica is an experimental rose that has the power to endlessly charm. I like layering with Twisted Peppermint from Bath and Body Works, which has a vanilla buttercream and balsam note; to me that perfects this fragrance. In business anyway, when you don't just want to smell boring after a "fresh shower", but fresh, but with that certain something.

For a scent to trigger such a truly happy, soft and comforting feeling/memory (and it lasts like a beast, especially on clothes, I'm talking 2/3 days after wearing this jumper I can still smell the same fresh, slightly soapy, clean green) I knew I had to get a backup. This is definitely something worth testing out before you commit to a bigger size (I did this) but even when I got a bigger size I wasn't initially as in love with it as I thought. Inspired by a strange and wonderful garden in which you do not know whether the flowers are innocent or poisonous, Florabotanica from Balenciaga evokes the 18th Century botanical gardens in which the most exotic and rarest plant species were displayed. Now that I could grab a decant to seriously try it, I remembered why I loved this (and why I love it more now! I can’t pick up the cannabis note though, but maybe it’s purposely lingering in the background which makes this perfume so complex.Today I visited a local office to make an inquiry and with the corner of my eye I saw a bottle of Florabotanica on the lady’s desk. I'm not sure it suits me and it requires such a particular setting that I probably can't justify a purchase, but it's so damn pretty (the actual fragrance and the bottle) that I want it anyway.

Although I've never smelled it on anyone else the incredibly green notes that I pick up on my own skin coupled with the very strong rose honestly comes across to me as somewhat unisex.I absolutely love this fragrance, and I'm really excited to see how it will perform and bloom in warmer weather. While a sort of minty sensation still lingers in the back, the fragrance has now reached an intimate warmth, this is almost a musky amber, it is clean yes. Florabotanica and Paris are perfumes I turn to when it’s about pleasing myself and wanting to feel feminine, beautiful, serene, embraced and sophisticated. Indigo is the least similar, with Indigo being sweeter and spicier and Florabotanica being, well, more floral and fresh. Roses, orange blossoms, green spices and fresh herbs (mint, sage, basil maybe) , wet dirt and wet woods, fresh air, serenity.
