I have a large back garden this mower is very powerful and having a metal blade it cuts very well, mowers with plastic blades are a nightmare as they keep breaking every couple of yards,the only problem is the flymo 400 only ever lasts 2 years,its the same fault on every one ive had the bearing on the blade shaft goes and because the shaft is not running true it vibrates uncontrollable and makes the mower usless the bearing is the only item you cant get has a spare you cant replace it its a sealed item, but saying that the mower gets the job done very well the cuttings are so fine they just rot back into the grass, ive bought 4 mowers over 8 years all gone the same way [bearings] that works out about 75 pence a week over 2 years so i suppose its not too bad for a very powerful mower, i just wish flymo could sort the 2 year lifespan of the rotor bearings out.Non grass collecting hover mowers offer the light, simple and manageable way to keep your lawn in trim.
