About this deal
I almost ate this book! I settled down to begin reading and before I knew it, I was half way through. It pulls the reader in and doesn't let go. Filled with characters who make up the most dysfunctional of families, and revolving around a grand country house, this is fast moving and utterly engaging. Also, we have no idea about his brother and sister, and we don’t know their names either. But we are trying hard to collect all the information about him and will update you soon.
Keep a diary of your day, listing all the times you changed your behaviour for fear of seeming rude. You'll probably be surprised how common it is.
About this book
Audible - if you are reading this - I would like to say that I would simply adore it if this after book author interview became standard practice for all audiobooks as it really does make the book come to life and it is fascinating to get that insight into the writer's creative process, plus writing tips also. Learning to ignore the fear of seeming rude is not an overnight transformation – unsurprising given that it’s drilled into us from birth. I’ve spent the last eighteen months working on it, and I’m still not perfect. But I do a little better every day, and I’ve found that I am far happier. Cecily Mordaunt is dead. On the evening of her funeral, her family will gather for dinner, and each will be given a letter revealing who is the next custodian of Roxborough Hall. The house is a burden, a millstone, a full-time job . . . but they all want it. And some are willing do anything to get it. One family. Eight letters. Who will get what they deserve?
Rebecca Reid worked as a freelance writer for the Telegraph, but she could make a good net worth from it. Belfast TelegraphWell written, with a plot and characters that haunt you long after you’ve finished.’ Jane Corry, author of My Husband’s Wife
