It’s possibly better aimed at those with a small garden looking for an easy life, rather than anyone wanting a perfect lawn. No robot mower is good at creating neat edges up to every type of boundary but this model won’t even do a perimeter lap to straighten everything off. I really appreciated the ease with which it gets up and running, though.
An affordable drop and mow robot that’s incredibly easy to use
The LawnMaster CLMF4841E is a 48-volt cordless lawn mower but runs on two 24v batteries. This is great news because it means you can power share across the LawnMaster 24v range. Alright, there aren’t as many tools to share the batteries with compared to brands like Bosch and Makita, but there’s still hedge trimmers ( LawnMaster 24v Cordless Hedge Trimmer CLHT2452D), grass trimmers and even leaf blowers, so you have everything you need to keep your lawn and garden looking neat and tidy. It’s designed to cut up to 100m² and has a 16cm cutting width. Combine this with the four hour run time, which I’ll talk more about shortly, and you’ve got something that’s going to deliver an even cut without running out of power. I’ve always talked about how important it is to have a good range of cutting heights as this allows you to mow your lawn according to the season and conditions. Therefore, I was delighted that the LawnMaster CLMF4841E comes with a selection of cutting heights between 22mm and 72mm. The lower one is extremely generous for a rotary mower and is something that would please those that like a low and neat cut to their lawn. The 72mm maximum cutting height is also generous and will allow you to cut a lawn that is overgrown and neglected. In summary, these cutting heights are certainly suitable for most domestic users. BEAUTIFUL FINISH: fitted with a carbon steel blade for an excellent quality cut, the choice of 6 cutting heights between 20mm and 70mm which can be adjusted with a single lever, and a rear roller for a striped finish.

I found that emptying the grass collection bag was easy, thanks to the well positioned handle, and there were no obstructions preventing the grass cuttings exiting the bag. Moreover, you will notice that there is a full width single starter handle bar suitable for both left and right hand turns. This makes it much easier to move around corners without having to cut off the power. Being a push mower, you will need to exert a little more strength than when using a self-propelled model. However, it’s pretty lightweight so not something that I found to be an issue even when the grass collection box was full. I used this cordless mower for the first Spring cut of the season, so the lawn was longer than usual and not in the best condition. The LawnMaster mower performed really well despite the conditions. SPOT CUT FUNCTION: for a neat finish, use the additional spiral spot cut function on any uncut grass. The robot uses a camera to detect grass on the lawn ahead of it. If the grass stops and the mower detects a different surface, it will stop, turn around, and head off in a different direction.

The padded handle of the LawnMaster 41cm folds down at two points; the lower part and the mid section. This makes it much more compact, so it’s perfect for storing in a crowded garden shed. Handles Another characteristic that I loved about the LawnMaster is that it features grass combs which made cutting to the edge of the lawn a cinch. Moreover, this powerful machine is perfect as an alternative to petrol and you have the advantage that it doesn’t give off any nasty fumes or requires regular and costly maintenance.
