A great feature of the Fosi Audio Q4 is that it comes with a range of input and output modes. This means you can easily choose the setup to suit your needs. Sound control To turn the device on, the volume knob must be pressed and held for a few seconds and the the blue light above USB will light up to show the device is powered on and in USB input mode. The device always turns on in USB mode, independently of which input was selected before turning off. I'm really not a fan of the Fosi Q4, the sound is a little muddy and PC onboard sounds better IMO. But it seams that you aren't using PC audio in this instance so it's probably an upgrade. My finding was the dac for the culprit as even hooked to a known quality (comparatively) amp it had the same undesirable sound signature. But to each their own.

Balanced audioThe rubber feet are a nice addition that I wasn’t expecting on a product at this price point, however they didn’t prevent the unit from sliding around on my glass monitor stand base, but I still greatly appreciate the scratch protection. Well, as far as sound goes, I do feel that the UNO is slightly cleaner and maybe offers a little more detail (although the differences are minimal in this regard), especially when pushed more towards the upper ranges of the dial. Those who know the SA3000 are aware that is is a detail and treble-monster with a rather weak bass response. Correcting those ‘flaws’ to my taste on the K5 Pro was so simple and brought my SA3000 to another level of enjoyment. For future reference the Sybasonic SD-DAC63116 is far superior for the same price when clarity of sound is concerned. Though it doesn't have the adjustable EQ knobs, it does offer a mic input. I would put it on par with a good onboard solution perhaps with more power. Of note, you still have 66 watts of power at 20 Hz. Many budget amps drop to 20 or so watts which can be problem as bass is what requires power.
However, what truly stands out for me in a product at this price point is the inclusion of bass and treble tone controls; more on those later. The K5 Pro is a very small device, not quite palm of the hand but not much bigger either. The enclosure is completely made from metal, in a dark grey finish, with metal knobs in a silver colour.
