The guide book, although compact, is in full colour illustration, and holds a lot of information, including Beltane themes and areas of focus, how to use the cards, Beltane spreads, and a ‘get to know your deck’ spread which when I tried it, proved really interesting and certainly made it clear that this deck will give me lots to chew over.Original poetry from Juliet Diaz works as invocations for magic and ritual while intuitive guidance from Lorraine Anderson will take you through your personal readings. The card reads ‘There’s death in all that awakens’ which I feel captures the feeling of the deck beautifully. The earth’s energies are at the strongest and most active, and all of life is bursting with potent fertility. Samhain is one of the most potent and magical nights of the year for performing divination, ritual and spells.

Her work focuses heavily on sacred and intentional living as well as using spiritual practices as a pathway for profound healing, growth, and transformation. While I know the first deck in this series, Season of the Witch: Samhain Oracle, might be more appropriate for the current season, I haven’t made the switch just yet.
