About this deal

Their kind messages remind us all that we're in it together and now, with their beautiful, colourful collection of quotes, stories and drawings you can add joy to your day wherever you are and however you're feeling. And although lockdown meant less people saw their daily dose of support on their commute, the two friends decided it was “even more important” to continue their work over the last year. To maintain their anonymity they donned masks, long before those became mandatory on public transport because of Covid-19.

All on the Board is the pseudonym for two writing partners, Jeremy Chopra and Ian Redpath, who found huge success on social media when in 2017 they began sharing poetry and other “ditties” focusing on mental health and inspiring positivity and hope. But it was when they expanded to cover messages of hope, remembrance and awareness of health conditions, that the boards really took off. They’ve even been referred to as ‘The Banksys of the Underground’ and, to their delight, as Batman fans, ‘The Masked Duo’. This is a lovely idea, inspiring quotes and comments on the notice boards at Tube stations relevant to the day’s events. The journey he goes through is an inspiration for how to keep yourself going through the most brutal form of isolation and stress imaginable. These inspiring, poignant, motivational and sometimes celebratory messages to commuters have gone down so well that the recent book devoted to them became a Sunday Times Bestseller. In November 2020, their first book was published by Yellow Kite (Hodder) and hit the Sunday Times Bestseller chart multiple times in 2021. Prior to the first public board, the pair were already writing poems and stories, and creating videos together, behind the scenes.

A Creepy, Crawly Counting Book by Elliot Kreloff (Collective Book Studio), featuring some pesky bugs.I’ve shared them here along with recent picture books that successfully crossed over to the board book format: Is art or text cut from the book? Regardless of which stations you commute between, if you use the London Underground (or did in ‘old normal’ times), chances are you will have come across an information board brandishing a playful, punchy or poignant quote by the All On The Board duo.
