About this deal

Smoked oak flavour that blends into a spicy, smooth fruity plum and cherry flavour. Probably not as good as the dark red version being lighter bodied. Hints of vanilla and chocolate. Great with red meat dishes or steaks. ASDA Extra Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon Harvesting at just the right time - and before many other red California wine grapes reach their ripeness allows the team to master the aging process and add intricate density to each glass. For those who love heat: considering a lot of the flavour notes of wine are based around spicing, don't assume that beer or lager is the most appropriate match for spicy food. Dark Horse malbec works brilliantly with all spicy foods, as it's robust and rich enough to stand up to big spicy flavours with its velvety finish." We wanted to produce a wine that surprised and delighted consumers, and something we would be happy to share with our family and friends. We wanted to produce a wine that over-delivered on price point, that is affordable to the mass market but something that tastes like it is much more premium. We used premium wine making techniques, something that is not normally done on this scale. Subtle taste. Sweet and fruity blend of caramel, plum, chocolate flavours Hardys Crest Cabernet Shiraz Merlot

Strong dry tannin flavours and strong smooth blend of dark fruit aromas with notes of toasted oak, chocolate and vanilla making it smooth to drink. Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon Diablo dark red and wold blass yellow label Malbec wine is made using small but mighty grapes dressed in a deep, dark and brooding purple hue. Despite their bold appearance, they’re pretty sensitive to the weather. Malbec grapes don’t like high temperatures, but they’re not fans of frost either, and can be particularly prone to rot and damage from pest activity. However, grown in the right conditions, these inky grapes make a rich, smooth wine.

Another challenge in the wine industry is that it typically takes three to four years for wines to come on stream, and at the same time different varietals come into and go out of fashion. So trying to adapt to the changing trends and consumer needs can prove tough. For example, we have launched our new Malbec into the UK market, where demand for the varietal is high, but not in the US, where interest is stagnating. It is hard in a global economy to adapt emerging trends to different markets. Imagery, branding and personality is very much the focus of Dark Horse Sweet and smooth, easy drink but slightly acidic after taste. Flavours of dark plum, mulberries and slight spice. So you’ve got the bottle of wine, you want to serve it at your next dinner party, but you’re not sure what to eat with Malbec. We’re here to help, and you’ll be pleased to know that the answer to what goes with Malbec wine is a pretty simple one. I think our target consumer is anyone who is looking for good value and consistent quality, as well as wanting something a bit surprising and different. Someone who doesn’t want to spend a fortune on their everyday wine. The new Malbec variety from Dark Horse

Bacon is often cured with salt and sugar and then with a hint of smoke. All of these are the things which scream a collaboration with some chardonnay. So, when making any dishes such as carbonara, or ham or gammon chops, reach for a chardonnay. Dark Horse chardonnay is rich and full-bodied, with notes of toasted oak and caramel, which are a great complement to the smokiness of the meat." Dark Horse malbec I think cans open the door to lots of venues such as sporting events, music festivals, and concerts. If you are going camping or to the beach with friends, cans are extremely portable, and are far more convenient than bag in box wines. Tetra hasn’t taken off in the US the way it has elsewhere, though I can see the appeal of basically having wine on tap in your fridge. But I think from a portability standpoint cans are really appealing to a lot of people. The short answer is that Malbec is a dry wine. But what makes a wine “dry”, exactly? A dry wine is one that has less residual sugar. The grapes used to create Malbec are fermented for longer, so the natural sugars in the grapes are eaten by the yeast. This is the process that creates alcohol. Mild and tasty wine with ripe fruit flavours of raspberry, cherry and plums. Smokey oak. Drink with red meat dishes, italian foods or spicy dishes. The Wine List Merlot Dark Horse is the number one premium brand in the US, and is growing more than eight times faster than the overall premium category while Dark Horse is the number one premium rosé. As we see the trend towards premiumisation within wine across the globe, we are continuing to expand our distribution of Dark Horse into new markets with the brand showing strong performances in Germany, Poland and Denmark – with plans to further expand our distribution to more new markets this year.If you’re sharing a bottle with friends but not quite got to the bottom, you might be wondering – how long does Malbec last after opening? As a general rule of thumb, red wines with higher tannin and acidity like Malbec stay fresh for up to a week. Just be sure to replace the cap and keep the bottle in a cool, dark place… but we’ll be impressed if you manage to resist finishing the bottle for that long! With deep and intense notes, the Dark Horse Malbec is one of a kind. Each sip offers smooth dark chocolate tones with hints of spice, plum and dark fruits. Very fruity taste and aroma but not sweet, dark red, dry and full bodied. Taste great with meat. Strong, fruity, a little sour. Not be to everyone’s taste. Some may find it bitter or sour.

This is a quarter sized bottle of the above. ASDA wines cabernet chauvignon Apothic and McQuigan Apothic Cabernet SauvignonAromas of smoked oak barrel. Tastes of plum, smoky oak and vanilla. Full bodied flavour. Drink with beef and roast potatoes. Echo Falls Merlot Flavoursome, full bodied wine and smooth from the wine region of South Australia. This is strong. Full bodied and strong aroma. Diablo Dark Red Roasted pork, rosemary lamb, peppered steak and stuffed roasted pepper sit well with the fruity flavour of this Malbec. Potatoes sprinkled with blue cheese also make a delicious Malbec pairing.
