About this deal

Design is the most important element of the Marshall Major III, so let’s start by taking a tour of the Marshall amp-inspired bits. They fare better with Wild Beasts’ All The King’s Men, in which baritone vocals sound rich and sonorous, while meandering bass lines underpin complicated drum fills and undulating guitar riffs.

If, somehow, you find yourself short of battery, then the Major IV support fast-charging (15 minutes for a mammoth 15 hours), while there’s wireless charging support, too – a feature I haven’t often seen in headphones that aren’t true wireless. A charging pad isn’t supplied with the Major IV, so there’s just a USB-C charging cable for charging purposes. Clarity is good, but the Marshall Major III don’t offer quite the sound scale of the very best at the price. That pair replaced, I find the Marshall Major III fairly comfortable. Like any on-ear headphones, you may find they cause slight ear fatigue if worn all day. However, the designers have done their best to ensure a balance between comfort and sufficient tension to keep the headphones on your head while on a run. One other feature is using the 3.5mm cable to plug into another set of headphones and share your music. The cable is long enough for it not to turn into a ‘Lady and the Tramp’ situation, but I can imagine it being awkward unless you’re both sitting down. It does work, however; although it seems to work best with Marshall headphones (I used it with the Monitor II A.N.C). Signal noise seems prevalent if you try with another brand. The major 3 Bluetooth keeps the music going strong with over 30 hours of wireless playtime on a single charge. This bluetooth also features 40mm dynamic drivers that are custom tuned for enhanced bass, smooth mids and clear highs. If you love the Marshall-inspired design then go ahead. However, if the priority is the best sound quality for your money, then look elsewhere. Verdict Headphones: ZMF Atrium, Audioquest Nighthawk, Nightowl, AKG K872, EL-8C, HD650, ZMF Eikon, Oppo PM-1, Aeon 2 Open, Audeze Sine Unfortunately, connecting the cable doesn't power down the headphones automatically. That only occurs when the other end of the cable connects to your mobile device, and in that case, it's the mobile device ending the connection. If you're paired with a phone and connect one end of the cable to the headphones and leave the other loose, audio will still stream to your headphones from your paired device. It's not a huge issue, but you'll have to be certain your headphones are powered down, or you can easily drain your battery without realizing it. On the positive side, we didn't detect a major difference in audio performance between active wired and passive wired listening.

One can connect these headphones to only one device at a time. They can be paired with multiple computers, tablets and phones. Battery Life Overall, the audio quality is fine, if not a bit dull; there’s no sparkle at the top end to give your music a sense of liveliness, while the warm presentation sometimes makes the bass feel weak in comparison to the other frequencies.

It’s rare to find something like AptX streaming on a device as budget-friendly as the Marshall Major III Bluetooth headset. Interestingly, the headset also comes with an impressive battery life of up to 30 hours or more. Marshall Major III review: Performance Despite the Major IV sporting softer ear cushions than their predecessor, I found myself having to occasionally adjust them to alleviate the pressure on my ears during listening sessions. Although they feel good on your head when worn for short bursts, there’s still room for improvement when it comes to a truly comfortable fit on your ears. They look less blingy and the faux-leather look is less evident than the previous model. The cushy headband is both sturdy and springy, with some flexibility to fit bigger shaped heads too. The Bluetooth mic offers decent intelligibility. Using the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 6s, we could understand every word we recorded, though the mic sounded slightly distant and there were some minor audio artifacts, which is typical with Bluetooth headphone mics. The cable's inline mic delivers excellent clarity, with even a little added bass response.

Compared to similar on-ear models, the price sits comfortably in the mid-range and they are one of the cheaper models on offer from Marshall. So stop wasting your money in wrong earphones & headphones, We will give you the best list of earphone. In our team, we have experienced writers who have more than 5 years of experience in headphones industry. Passive noise cancellation is never a strong point of on-ear headphones, but the Marshall Major IIIs are particularly disappointing in this regard. We tried them in the office and could still easily hear people’s conversations, meaning you’d have to really blast your music if you wanted to drown out the outside world. There’s no active noise cancellation option offered here, which isn’t surprising considering this is seen as more of an entry level pair from Marshall. For active noise cancellation, you’re going to have to stump up the cash for the enjoyable and premium Marshall Mid ANCs.The look of the Major IV differs little from the Major III in a wider sense – but that hasn’t stopped Marshall from claiming a few tweaks.
