About this deal

A mega good battery life, lasts easily 2 days with many uses. The phone takes really nice pictures and high-quality videos. The speed and response from the phone is also fabulous. Price-wise, I can highly recommend it, as well as the features. Large display, very good camera, great speakerphone. The Plus stands for more display, more memory, more battery power and a time-of-flight depth sensor. Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G The Galaxy S20 Plus connects to both mmWave and sub-6 5G networks, making it one of the first mainstream phones to do so at the time. That number has grown since but it remains an attractive option -- in theory, anyway. So, how do these cameras perform? Well, they’re very good but not the best I’ve ever come across. In a side-by-side comparison of shots captured with the iPhone 11 Pro’s 12-megapixel camera (in daylight), I saw a little more contrast and lower noise levels in the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus shots, while the iPhone images looked a touch more natural and neutral overall: True, the detail gets muddy at the tail end of that zoom range, but the intermediate steps – the camera app helpfully provides 2x, 4x, 10x, and 20x interval options – make it a lot easier to hone in on subjects of interest. It’s not quite the Samsung S20 Ultra’s much vaunted 100x Space Zoom, but the concept is the same – and given how rarely you’d need to get that close to a distant subject, we think 30x will suit you just fine.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is in many ways higher end than the standard Samsung Galaxy S21, but you might want to look at the Galaxy S21 Plus instead, and for the true top Samsung flagship the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the only choice. Proximity Sensor, Hall Effect Sensor, Light Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, Accelerometer (G-Sensor), Barometer, Fingerprint Sensor I deliberately chose the S20 Plus5G because I had previously read that Samsung's own processor is not so frugal with the battery capacities. In any case, the Snapdragon processor lasts for a very long time, I am thrilled. The technical qualities are beyond doubt, and a great camera is also on board. Your favourite smartphone content has never looked better than when it’s on the Galaxy S20+’s 6.7” Infinity-O Display. With just a tiny punch-hole selfie camera, the edge-to edge display is practically all screen giving you an immersive viewing experience. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus was launched in the US, UK and Australia in March 2020. There are two variants of the phone; one with 5G, and another with only 4G.

Yes, the S20 Plus has gotten a price bump over the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, presumably due to the added 5G compatibility. It pushes the phone to new heights of flagship prices, which is frustrating – especially given the limited availability of the cheaper 4G model, and notably the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus actually has a lower launch price. That's 12GB of RAM for the Galaxy S20 Plus 5G, but if you opt for the 4G version you'll get 8GB of RAM. We've yet to test that version of the device, but we believe 8GB of RAM should be enough to get you through everyday tasks. The single center-aligned punch-hole for the front-facing camera looks cleaner, and obstructs less of the display, than the lozenge-shaped cutout housing two lenses on the S10 Plus. Less noticeable unless the two phones are side-by-side is that the new Plus model has no top lip or bottom chin – its bezel is evenly sparse. Performance is pretty swift as a result and, in the benchmarks, the S20 Plus put in a sterling performance. It isn’t quite as swift as the iPhone 11 Pro with its Apple A13 SoC but it’s fast enough to ensure snappy responsiveness in any task.

As you’d expect from a flagship refresh, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is flush with the very latest silicon. In the case of the UK and European release of the phone, you’re getting Samsung’s 7nm 2.7GHz octa-core Exynos 990 while our US counterparts get the Snapdragon 865. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is one of three flagship Samsung phones launched in early 2020. It has a 6.7in edge-to-edge display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a triple rear camera and runs Android 10. Camera is pretty good. Zoom works quite well upto 10X and after that pictures tend to lose their quality. Night mode is quite decent and selfie camera is amazing as well.I have had the Galaxy S20 Plus from Samsung for 6 months and am really satisfied with it. The phone has a good camera and fast response time. Also, there are many ways to set it. I think the phone is a bit big for an average sized hand. But still, it's good. The price-performance ratio is also right. In fact, it isn’t an awful lot different from the more expensive S20 Ultra. Its screen is 0.2in smaller but it’s the same resolution and most of the other specifications are identical – the CPU, storage, water-resistance and construction materials, among other things. That said, having both mmWave and sub-6 makes the S20 Plus available on more carriers, especially ones that only have one or the other. Assuming carriers keep building out those networks and, crucially, in ways that maintain compatibility with the S20 Plus, the phone could be future-proofed for years to come, unlike the mmWave-only Samsung Galaxy S10 5G or sub-6-only OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. Performance Samsung’s S-series phones have always boasted top-tier specs, and the S20 Plus is no exception. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset in the US or Exynos 990 in other countries (including the UK and Australia) and 12GB of RAM baseline breeze through games, media binges, and multi-app multitasking. Dual-Pixel-Autofocus, AI-Camera, RAW Image, Single Take, Super Resolution Zoom, Space Zoom, Super Steady Video, Ultra Pixel Binning, Hybrid Optic Zoom
