About this deal

Includes 10 Thrilling Quests - The Rise of Dread Moon expansion features 10 quests, as well as full-color tiles and 58 game cards, set in an elven world of monsters, traps, treasure, and Dread Moon spells Update 6/20/23: Re-upload of HQF latest video covering the flood of new photos from Zavvi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQHUHknJE4U Knight (same as Hero Collection Guardian Knight) * so right now you can play as him in the Companion App even before the update! The dramatic story of treachery and unrest in the elven kingdom continues in this HeroQuest Rise of the Dread Moon expansion! As a brave knight, you’re challenged to finally free Elethorn from the clutches of Zargorn. Embark on dangerous quests, as you seek the aid of the Cadre of the Raven's Veil to help stop Zargorn's forces of Dread from destroying the kingdom. Navigate through a dark labyrinth of waterways, an underground city, and more perilous locations. But be wary—for Zargon's forces grow ever stronger with the rise of the Dread Moon! In this quest we have a group of Heroes infiltrating a hidden Elven Armoury in the sewers beneath Elethorn.

Some of us were hoping for some range with this enemy, but I almost think this is better. We already have the archer to give us range, the Assassin fills in the gap for the close range and diagonals. Assassin Monster Card – Source: Reddit – vincezo1985 – Image Edited A Message from Mentor – The Story HeroQuest, the revitalised dungeon-crawler board game, will cap off the first major narrative since its relaunch in 2020 with new expansion Rise of the Dread Moon. Frustrated, the Heroes have no choice but to follow the Wraith. The Wraith casts Dreadlights on the Guardian Knight, then flees again. Who could this new hero be? The speculation has begun. The consensus that I think most have agreed on so far, is that this is an alternate version of the Guardian Knight that was previously released in limited quantity.First Youtube fan video unboxing has appeared (Thanks Frank!). It's in Italian and if you want to avoid spoilers (like, quest spoilers) stop the video around 3:00 minute mark, you have been warned! jump to the message where I link it. Thanks to Virg for pointing me in the right direction on this one. Update: My own spoilerific unboxing is here, with cheaper production values and shakier camera but more quest spoilers! While it’s implied that the solo quests in Mage of the Mirror and Frozen Horror are meant for the Elf and Barbarian respectively, the way this is phrased sounds like the decision is being left up to the player. Play as any hero for these solo quests. What are we Getting in RotDM? shrinkwrapped box with linen finish (just like Mage of the Mirror). no cardboard outer wrap or tape circles this time. First released in 1989 as a joint venture between Games Workshop and Milton Bradley, HeroQuest is arguably one of the most influential board games in the hobby. Its design and structure helped clear the way for an entire ecosystem of similar titles. The decades since found HeroQuest as a hard-to-find collector’s item until Hasbro and Avalon Hill crowdfunded a new edition in 2020. To Chris Nadeau, Avalon Bill (sorry Bill, I only know you by your Discord name), and the rest of the Team at Avalon Hill, I imagine that this isn’t exactly the way you were hoping Rise of the Dread Moon to be revealed to the world. I imagine that you had, and maybe still do have big plans for the big reveal. In the ideal world, everything would go according to plan, everyone would receive the game at the same time on launch day, everything would be perfect. Finally, the last reveal, a set of cards representing potions, hopefully some new potions, and some rereleases of past potions. This creates the question, are we still going to get “Equipment” cards for the potions included in this expansion? In the past expansions, the “Alchemists Shop”, was both printed on the inside cover of the quest book, and included “Equipment” cards of the potions. This tabletop game expansion comes with 29 detailed miniatures, including furniture, Elven Warriors, Dread Cultists, Specters, a Dread Wraith, and more No longer able to see the Heroes, the Wraith further retreats, biding it’s time, waiting for the Heroes to come to it.

The action of Crafting itself, is specifically a Wizard action, though it is possible for other Heroes to craft by using a Reagent Kit. I like this new mechanic, if gives the Wizard a new unique ability, similar to the Dwarfs innate ability to disarm traps without a Trap Kit.Side A: 8 Lunar tokens (front), 6 caltrops, 2 trap doors, 4 disguises, 2 mirrors, 4 mercenaries, 1 elf assassin, 1x "5" reputation token, 6 "shield" reputation tokens (front), 1 "plaza" tile (5x6 room)
