The Audio-Line Out port can be used to connect to an external soundbar or speaker to the monitor. The operating system does not detect the monitor as an audio device. The heart of the U3419W is its 34-inch (measured diagonally) panel, with a native UWQHD (3,440-by-1,440-pixel) resolution that works out to a 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio. Pixel density comes to 110 pixels per inch (ppi), matching that of the Asus PA34VC. That monitor, like this one, is an in-plane-switching (IPS) panel, and it has the same resolution and aspect ratio. This is a lower pixel density than 4K monitors such as the ViewSonic VP2785-4K (that one comes in at 163ppi), but it is more than enough to ensure image sharpness. Ensuring that your Dell monitor is setup properly - assembling the monitor stand and setting up the monitor ergonomically, connecting the cables and organizing them, will only help make the viewing experience the best it possibly can be. Dell U3419W supports USB Type-C Alternate Mode with DisplayPort DP 1.2. It’s also great that the Dell U3419W did not only inherit its older variant’s looks but its excellent build quality as well. The device looks like it was made with precision since there are no defects or gaps in the seams. This model lost a bit of weight, but it still feels sturdy and reliable once fully assembled.The Dell Ultrasharp 34 Curved USB-C monitor is definitely a pretty piece of technology with the sleek design in line with Dell’s UltraSharp line of monitors. It features a cure radius of 1900r and WQHD 3440 x 1440 native resolution. The thin bezel along the outside is a feature I find really nice. It’s about as seamless as possible with the display. The Dell U3419W isn’t a gaming variant so it does not include FreeSync and the G-Sync compatibility mode that comes with it. You’d have to rely on a powerful GPU and tweaking the graphics settings to attain a sweetspot so tearing and stuttering doesn’t happen. Input lag is slightly higher at 20ms, but we feel that’s reasonable for the titles which are suitable for this model. Thoughts on the Dell U3419W
The U3419W is an upgrade from an earlier Editors' Choice model from Dell, the UltraSharp 34 Curved Monitor (U3417W), the main difference being the addition of the USB Type-C port. It's a feature that many new Dell monitors, as well as some from other manufacturers, are incorporating. Switch between Normal or Fastvia On-Screen Display Menu (OSD) to find the best performance for your application. The Dell U3419W is a fantastic ultrawide monitor due to its imaging quality and functionality. The IPS panel’s colors and gamma are perfectly set, so most users won’t need to use a colorimeter right away. The 90-Watt USB-C connector allows meatier laptops to be compatible, especially those with top of the line processors and graphics cards. Common ProblemThe standard monitor stand is detached when the monitor is shipped from the factory. There is also a pair of 9-Watt speakers which definitely sound more powerful and defined that the built-ins we’re used to. This part sounds decent enough even for movies, but you’d still want a separate set or headphones for gaming or audio processing usage. Display and Performance
Some USB devices like external portable HDD require higher electric current; connect the device directly to the computer. The USBs can all be used to charge devices. As for the USB-C, it features a power-delivery rating of up to 90 watts, and thus can perform high-speed charging of, say, a laptop (while, as mentioned, also allowing data transfer over the cable). In contrast, the Asus PA34VC has fewer USB 3.0 ports, but it adds a second USB-C port.

However, a unique feature I would like to highlight about the Dell U3419W monitor is the Picture By Picture (PBP) functionality. When setup for PBP the monitor takes input from two different PC sources and displays them side by side on one monitor. This is a feature I’ve never seen before in a monitor and while in a way it is similar to having a dual monitor setup PBP is an intriguing new technology for those who utilize multiple PC’s. Additionally, the Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) feature pairs nicely with PBP and lets you toggle and control two PC’s with only one mouse and keyboard. Dell U3419W Design and Build
