About this deal
How effective it is will depend on the volume of liquid and the temperature of the room being brewed in. Simply wrap it around the fermenter and slide the belt along the power cord a and secure in place with our innovative clip. If you're fermenting in a fridge, you can also use the MKII's cooling function as well to control both the belt and the fridge.
Temperature Control for home
The superb design also allows it to fit around a pressure barrel to aid the start of the secondary fermentation. Heating belts provide a simple way to create a little more heat in your fermenter without spending a ton of money. Whilst there is no temperature gauge the belt can be moved up or down the fermentation vessel to control the temperature. You may decide to insulate the vessel by carefully insulating it (by wrapping it up etc) so that less heat escapes and this helps the device to keep the liquid warm.Easy to Use: The heat belt heater is simple to use and requires no complicated setup or installation. Items must be in a new and unused condition, complete with all packaging in the state in which it was delivered.
TopBrewing™ Heat Belt
This great heater belt for home brewing comes with a variable temperature dial control and is suitable for 1 gallon demijohns to 33 litre fermenters. We liked that this belt was a little more robust than the FermoWrap, making it feel a little more durable. The TopBrewing™ heat belt is designed to be used during primary fermentation and to aid the start of secondary fermentation.
Whilst we endeavour to make sure that glass bottles are packed as well as possible we cannot send out replacement for any breakages. Remember, in low temperature fermentation may stall and in high temperature the yeast will produce off flavours. Try not to let the brew get too hot either, too warm and it may ferment more quickly, but there is the risk of it creating off flavours and killing the yeast if it gets too warm above the temperature the yeast can tolerate. If you do decide to insulate the vessel, it is very important to make sure that you do so safely, and that you regularly monitor the temperature that the brew is at using a thermometer.
