i think one of my favorite scenes is the one with the quote i put above. the amount of times i’ve seen this quote literally everywhere, it just convinced me to read this book. there are so many scenes i loved, but i’m gonna be honest, i’m gonna stop writing now so i can continue reading unraveling an enigma. these books are so addicting i can’t stop. and i have two arcs i need to read by like tonight but i can’t bring myself to stop reading this story. They never followed the rules at all. Especially during her murder trial, they were completely careless about seeing each other without real regards to the consequences. I love writing and reading. They are both my passion. My genre is generally set to new adult and contemporary, with a few twists thrown in. This series has by far exceeded my expectations, the author has written a series to be very proud of. Not many authors can keep my attention over so many books by this one has. In fact I could happily read more about Isaac and Izzy and I really do hope that they pop up in any future stories! 5 stars is not enough for this book or any of them. The series as a whole was for me just out of this world. It’s definitely going to be one that I will read over and over again just so I can lose myself in the sexy mysterious world of Mr Isaac Holt – Shandi Boyes thank you for bringing him into my life! I loved Isaac and he is the perfect guy for my stories, but Isabelle was annoying as crap!! She cries over EVERYTHING!! He hates it and I hated it just as much. I was like, "She is an FBI agent....get over your crap."

Just when Isaac thought he and Izzy were in the clear for the most part and able to focus on a relationship things blow up. I definitely don’t want this series to end! I have a feeling I am heading for a book hangover! Enigma of Life: Isaac’s Story is a five star novel by Shandi Boyes. This book is book number six in the Perception series. This book can be read as a standalone since Isaac is normally such an insignificant character in the other books. You may not even remember him fully! But not anymore. Isabelle is flying to her new job. Boy, she hates to fly. She is so deathly afraid of flying that on the first leg of her journey, she didn't even let go of her death grip on the armrest the entire flight. Now, she has to do it all over again on the second leg. Thankfully, this is a much shorter flight for her. As she is going through the airport, she literally falls into the most handsome gentleman she has ever seen. He is very much dressed to impress and is a very confident man. As he tries to balance her and help her up with her things, they bump heads again. He can't help but be amused at all that is happening right now. He then invites her to the lounge to wait with him until her flight. She graciously accepts until she realizes how pitifully undressed she would be for a place like that. He tells her it won't matter, and she follows him inside. Once there, he reaches behind the bar like he owns the place. He gets some ice for her eye and gets some glasses for their drink. The bartender brings over the whiskey like he knows exactly what Isaac wants. After the drink, Isabelle realizes she is going to be late for her flight if she doesn't hurry. She thanks her gentleman and runs out the door. Little does she know, he has a plan to see her on the next flight. He helps her calm her nerves and entices her in every way imaginable. She knows she needs to stay away from him. He invites her as a one and done deal to a club that Saturday. After their encounter, she can't get him out of her head. She hopes one day she will see him again but also knows she cannot become involved with him. Ever. Isabelle, who is new to town, is meeting a friend of her Uncle’s that she will be staying with until she gets on her feet and starts her new job as FBI field agent. Regina, the friend of her uncle, is a fellow police officer who supplies her with a file of the person Isabelle was brought to Ravenshoe to investigate whom lo and behold happens to be Isaac Holt, the man that helped her out on the plane. He is being investigated for potential mob connections and all that that implies.

I’m a pretty lovabl—” For me Isaac reached a new level of book boyfriend in this instalment in the series! What I wouldn’t give for Isaac to say I was his! He is so swoon-worthy! I have learnt over the past two books not to even try and guess what is going to happen in these books because the other has a fantastic talent for completely flipping the books on their head and she definitely did it in this one! I haven’t seen any of the twists coming in the first two books but there was absolutely NO WAY I anticipated this one! What is this author trying to do to me with these cliff-hangers!! The review I started when I first finished is saved in my notes on my phone. I pass it and read it every single time I go to type out a review for another book and still I couldn’t finish it. I never felt like it was right or that it was enough to fully explain this book and the emotions I felt and my love for this story. So, this is my review. This series took me a month to read which is crazy for me. It just had a hard time keeping my interest. There were a lot of things I liked about this series, however there were too many repetitive things. Something crazy happens, then they have sex. Something crazy happens and then they have sex. Catch my drift. It was getting kind of monotonous.She’s treated absolutely horribly by Isaac in this book (he publicly humiliates her… AND SHE APOLOGIZES TO HIM FOR IT). Some of the logic in the book just didn’t follow. She also constantly talks about her “inner vixen” and how she’s actually like really kinky, you know. But then she throws a tantrum when she’s being teased. Like… she literally cries. Because he teases her.
