About this deal

The brilliantly bold creative will be making its way across the UK, through a range of different channels – including both online and offline advertising. You’ll get a chance to catch a glimpse of our new ads everywhere (we’re not kidding). Here’s a breakdown of where you’ll find them:

Elsewhere, in a prescient review in Vox magazine, the music writer Simon Reynolds described the band’s extraordinarily difficult fourth LP as being “as good as Happy Mondays get, but perhaps not good enough to matter. To recoup [its] outlay, [the] LP has to be laden with potential hit singles or to strike some kind of chord with a sizeable faction of the populace. Yes Please!, unless I'm very much mistaken, will fail on both counts.” No matter your preferred method of transport, you’ll see our ads out and about all across the UK. We’ll be on over 8,000 train cards and will deliver thousands of more ads on the tube and at stations across the country . You can also see us on 500 buses in 20+ cities , as we share our Love Mondays message with millions.

Miranda Sawyer (25 February 2007). "It's great when you're straight" (News article). The Observer. Guardian News and Media Limited . Retrieved 6 May 2012. Legendary Manchester band Happy Mondays have announced a 16-date UK tour for March and April 2024. It's the iconic band's first headline tour in five years. Paul’s brother Shaun Ryder, the group’s lead singer, announced the bassist’s death Friday on social media. No cause of death was provided. I met my fiance, Firouzeh Razavi, nearly nine years ago. It was her 30th birthday and she was having a drink with her friends, while I was out with my mate. We walked into this bar, our eyes met across the table, and that was it. I’m not normally romantic, but I tried to make it special when I proposed to her. I set up a posh picnic basket and got her family and my family to wait on the top of this mountain near where we live. Me and Firouzeh walked up the mountain and she noticed a big letter D that I’d put out in tribute to her younger brother who’d died. Then she saw her dad. And her sisters and everyone else, and I proposed. It was great. And it’s easier if everyone is there so you don’t have to tell them all separately afterwards. They experienced their commercial peak with Bummed (1988), Madchester Rave On (1989), and Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches (1990), with the latter going platinum in the UK.

Interview: Paul Ryder on Life with the Happy Mondays" (Interview). Live4ever. Live4ever Ezine. 11 May 2011 . Retrieved 6 May 2012.Alongside Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets were one of the most popular bands to emerge from the late-'80s/early-'90s Madchester scene. Following their 1989 Indie Chart-topping singles Find Out Why and Move, the band released their breakthrough hit This Is How It Feels, which began a run of four UK Top 20 albums, Life (#2), The Beast Inside (#5), Revenge of The Goldfish (#17) and Devil Hopping (#10) . Alongside the logo and colour palette, I developed a series of illustrations that can either be used in isolation or to create patterns. The illustrations help to add depth to the brand and personality. The original line-up was Shaun Ryder (vocals), his brother Paul Ryder (bass), Mark Day (guitar), Paul Davis (keyboard), and Gary Whelan (drums). It perhaps goes without saying that the decision by the Happy Mondays to make their fourth album, Yes Please!, in the sun-kissed paradise of the Caribbean was not without incident. Recorded at Blue Wave Studios, a lavish complex owned by the reggae star Eddy Grant, its towering costs helped bankrupt Factory Records, the label on which it was released. With sales of 50,000 copies – far less than a quarter of its predecessor, Pills’n’Thrills And Bellyaches - it would be its authors’ last LP for 15 years. His younger brother Paul, the band’s acclaimed bassist and musical driving force, was not there and would never be again after his sudden death at 58 just a week before.

Happy Mondays toured the US and Canada with The Psychedelic Furs in late 2009 with Paul Ryder's son and Shaun Ryder's nephew Jake Ryder filling in for Gaz Whelan on drums. [24]Aside from our new creative, our advertising campaign will also sport a catchy jingle (which we hope you’ll love). Listen out for our nationwide ads on the radio and Spotify. We’ll also be making an appearance on some of the UK’s biggest podcasts. Overall, our new audio adverts will be heard more than 6 million times by the end of January! In January it was announced that music legend and Dancing On Ice star Bez has announced his return to Kirkcaldy for a special show.
