Tent cots are great for going camping in the outdoors, especially the more modern versions. Tent cots are super easy to put up, are very comfortable, and are excellent for people with flexibility issues. Are you put off by camping in normal tents? A tent cot is the solution to your problem. All others are very similar, the Cabela’s tent-cot is the largest, but it is with the lowest tent, which is not so great. Don’t set it up under a tree. Yes, there’s such a thing as falling snakes (or squirrels) in some parts, and where there aren’t, you’re risking a falling branch. Regarding the rain protection, note that the fly is water-resistant but not fully waterproof. So I would not go with this tool in an area where lots of rain is expected. On the other hand, if you use it without the fly, you will enjoy sleeping under the stars and you will be fully protected from the bugs and also from any objects on the ground, the picture below shows how this may look like. In heavy rain, water will leak through the tent, so it’s a good idea to have a tarp ready in case you encounter any bad weather.

Although we prefer the oversized tent cot, the original is a great option for those who want to spend less money, and don’t mind having a little less space. On the upside, less space equals less weight – so this model is lighter.
