About this deal

When the chamber fills up, a trigger is set off within the vacuum that stops the suction and starts the discharge process. The water is discharged from the pond vacuum chambers either by gravity or, in more expensive units, a secondary powered discharge pump that pumps water and waste out of the unit and into a drainage hose. Now includes roller nozzle, string algae nozzle, wide area nozzle, brush and adjustable floor nozzle.

It’s got a 1700 Watt, two-chamber system to ensure that you get maximum suction power. It has a 2.4M suction depth so it’s suitable for large and small ponds. Its hand regulator and transparent tubing mean it’s easily adjustable and easy to use in general. Optionally available: extensive and practical accessories in heavy-duty quality for daily professional use Another selling point of the PondoVac 4 is its solid construction. Unlike its very capable predecessor, the PondoVac 4 is made using heavier duty materials and with hose extensions made entirely of aluminum. This is especially nice when using several extensions together to reach the bottom of a deep pond without fear or damaging the unit. Net weightTwo identically sized cylinders are filled and emptied in alternating cycles. If one container is full then a valve is mechanically activated by a float. This triggers emptying of one and at the same time allows the other cylinder to be filled. This is how both vacuuming and emptying of the container can occur at the same time! For these reasons, if you have large amounts of debris in your pond – or just want to keep it clean without spending hours fishing out twigs with a net – then a pond vacuum is the way to go. The best models can remove both fine silt and larger items, plus they are much faster and more convenient. Within minutes of your application being approved, you will be presented with the options to either e-sign or print and return your finance agreement. Kärcher is a reliable brand across Europe and is well known for its efficient, high-level cleaning systems. They offer a range of cleaners for a range of uses but are unthought of when it comes to pond vacuums. However, this 1000 Watt motor means you have a similar amount of power to other pond vacuums, so the suction strength is similar and should therefore collect the debris from your pond efficiently. It also has a 12L storage capacity, so you can collect plenty of debris before worrying about it overloading. Powerful 1700 watt motor and optimised turbine enables greater suction power to a max depth of 2.4m (nearly 8ft).

Other features include three accessories for greater versatility, a discharge bag (which can be used to return water to a pond minus larger debris – although fine silt will pass straight through) and a 35 litre reservoir. If both the Oase vacuums on this list are too expensive, then the PondHero Sludge Muncheris a decent alternative that’s cheap, easy to use and relatively powerful. It comes with three tools, including crevice and wide attachments, and can clean to a maximum depth of 2 metres. It’s probably not as good as the Oase Pondomatic, but it’s no slouch either.Maximum suction depth of 2.4 m thanks to high-performance 1,700 W motor with optimised blade geometry Vacuum non stop thanks to the patented two chamber system - simultaneous vacuuming and emptying of the tank Once it was up and running, it’s safe to say this vacuum did not disappoint. Its hose is flexible enough to get to the hard to reach areas, and its length really helps with this. The choice between nozzles really helps too, as smaller nozzles are great for areas where there’s not much large debris so that smaller particles are collected more efficiently. It was easy to operate and the automatic activation/emptying feature was helpful at times too, so there was little worry of it overflowing. Overall, operating this vacuum was straightforward and didn’t need much thought. A bonus is the PondoVac 4 comes with several attachments. These include a broadened universal nozzle, algae nozzle and wet suction brush. You’ll probably use the universal nozzle most of the time, but it’s great to have the option of other attachments for specific jobs. If you don’t mind the motor switching off to discharge debris, however, then the Pondomatic can make clearing your pond much easier. It’s a powerful 1400W model that’s capable of cleaning down to 2 metres, which is enough for most ponds and swimming pools. There are also four attachments included, such as an algae nozzle and crevice tool. The universal nozzle, which is used for most cleaning tasks, can be adjusted between 2mm to 10mm in width.
