About this deal

If snorkeling and diving are your things then you should head straight to Makris Gialos beach. The secluded beach is located on the North East coast of the island about 30 km from Zakynthos Town.

Visiting Zante: Everything You Need to Know - Greek Island

While Zante Town doesn’t have the best beaches on the island or perhaps the best nightlife, it likely has the best restaurants in Zakynthos. Here’s a list of just a few of the top places to eat in Zante Town. It may not be a history buff’s paradise, but there are many things to do and it’s the perfect holiday spot for those looking to relax and soak in the sun.

The best time to visit the island of Zakynthos is pretty much the same as the best time to visit Greece as a whole. You’ll want to come here any time between March and early November. On either end of those dates, the sea will be a little bit too chilly for swimming, but it’s a great time to visit because there are much fewer crowds. Most tours allow you to swim in the crystal clear sea and explore the caves. Don’t forget your snorkeling equipment; theunderwater views are unforgettable! Spend A Day At Banana Beach

Hotels in Zante | Cheap Deals on Zante Hotels - On the Beach

If you want to enjoy the best of the nightlife in Zakynthos then you’re going to want to stay in Laganas. This is where most of the late-night bars and clubs are located. Don’t expect as crazy parties as those found in Rhodes or Crete, but the nightlife in Laganas isn’t bad. If you’re going to stay in Psarou, I’d definitely recommend having a car because it doesn’t have as many restaurants and entertainment options as some of the other, more touristy cities in Zante. The view out towards the light blue water of the Ionian Sea is to die for and the water is deep enough to swim just a few meters from shore. It’s really hard to beat a beach like this! There are no amenities or facilities on the beach so make sure you have all of the necessities including food, drink, and an umbrella for shade with you before you depart. Olive oil is made locally, and you’ll see olives and fruit growing on all the trees. It’s no surprise that this all makes it to your plate when you dine in a local restaurant – which you must do! While there are plenty of tourist options, the best food always comes from authentic local tavernas, away from the main streets.
