About this deal

The Educator is a simple, lighweight and easy to use pelvic floor exerciser that will help you understand and strengthen your pelvic floor. A new, one-piece moulding means the Periform Plus Vaginal Probe is now smoother and easier to clean By using the Pelvic Floor Educator you can strengthen your weak pelvic floor muscles, to help treat your incontinence problems. One of the main problems women experience when first attempting pelvic floor exercises is knowing whether they are doing them correctly. Many women think they are doing these exercises correctly when in fact they may not be. For pelvic floor exercises to help reduce the symptoms of urinary incontinence, it is vital these exercises are performed correctly.

We know that strengthening our pelvic floor muscles can significantly improve or cure stress urinary incontinence, and that learning how to relax our pelvic floor muscl es can help with constipation and pelvic pain . Following the instructions provided, you should be able to see the movement in the external indicator. You do need an intact pelvic floor and at least a small amount of 'lift' for it to work properly.Even if you can already do pelvic floor exercises, the Educator can assess your technique and monitor your improvement! The Pelvic Floor Educator has been developed from the award-winning electrode Periform and is very popular with physiotherapists as a teaching tool. The Pelvic Floor Educator is designated as a medical device and is manufactured from medical grade materials but not under sterile conditions so we recommend cleaning before use. Recommended by continence specialists, the Pelvic Floor Educator is an effective and easy to use incontinence treatment that has been used by continence specialists throughout the world for many years.

Inserting the probe is often easier when using a high-quality water-based lubricant such as YES Water-based lubricant. The Educator’s unique design follows the movement of the internal wall of your vagina, allowing you to see how your pelvic floor muscles are being contracted. If you contract your pelvic floor muscles and the indicator moves downward, you can be sure you’re performing the exercises correctly. It’s as simple as that! You can use the Pelvic Floor Educator to treat all kinds of pelvic floor and incontinence problems, including those caused by pregnancy and child birth, the menopause and weight issues. The insertable vaginal component is approximately 6.5 cm long and approximately 9cm circumference at its widest point. If you are unable to contract your pelvic floor at all, or you have been assessed by your gynaecologist or women's health physiotherapist as having a grade 2 pelvic floor (no lift) you will need to work towards a grade 3 (some lift) before seeing results using the Pelvic Floor Educator.

This easy-to-use device acts as a visual aid by showing you if your muscles are contracting the way they should. Developed from the award-winning Periform® Probe, it helps you strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, reducing your stress incontinence symptoms. This innovative product range is approved for use by continence specialists worldwide. Our pelvic trainers can be comfortably and easily inserted and are designed to stay in place while you stand or move around during use. Incontinence aids to provide peace of mind You’ll attach the indicator wand to the body of the Educator. You’ll then insert the Educator into your vagina (similar to inserting a tampon). Do your Kegel exercises. As you contract your muscles, the indicator wand will follow the internal walls of the vagina, so you’ll know if you’re doing it correctly.

So basically I could have just bought the cones and not bothered with this! I use the cones and they work really well and keep me focussed on exercising the correct muscles every time. Soooo, if you are using Kegel8 weighted vaginal cones then you don't need this, but if you just need to see how your kegels work, and move the #magic wand' then this is for you! However I was told by my Physio that all pelvic floor exercises were best to be done against weighted resistance, and this is lightweight, so I don't think this would actually count. At Complete Care Shop, we’re passionate about helping you to maintain your independence and improve your quality of life. The main problem most women experience when first attempting pelvic floor exercises is knowing whether they are doing them correctly. The Pelvic Floor Educator is the perfect product to teach you how to contract your pelvic floor correctly and effectively. Unfortunately most of us are doing kegels incorrectly without realising! It's very possible that you are tensing the wrong muscles while exercising, which can lead to more problems as your muscles become strained. Rated a fantastic 8/10 by Dr Penelope Law, a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Hillingdon Hospital and The Portland Hospital in London! However I also bought this with the Kegel8 Cones - not realising that the kegel8 cones do exactly the same thing but more! My bad!
