However, the death of one of the characters that I just began to have an interest in was underwhelming and disappointed which made me stop reading for a while. I was really mad and I’m still tbh. I was waiting for a promised fighting for this character and wth he ended with? Meh. Spanning 27 volumes, this epic tale follows the story of Clare, a half-human, half-yoma warrior known as a Claymore, as she battles against the terrifying creatures known as the yoma. Me encanta cómo en en mismo tomo Yagi ha expandido el mundo de Claymore de forma coherente al mismo tiempo que explica varias cosas que habían quedado medio en el aire en los tomos pasados, da más coherencia y además alimenta nuestra expectación de lo que vendrá después. Otra historia que empieza muy bien pero que se alarga innecesariamente. Pasa con muchos manga como Death Note, en los que la cosa empieza bien y la trama es misteriosa y acaba habiendo un bajón donde los autores no saben donde van.Espectacular a todos los niveles. Priscilla ha ganado tanto trasfondo como una villana como ella podía permitirse, cosa que agradezco porque no se siente como la gran mala a matar y listo; se siente mucho más cerca a una tragedia, una víctima de un sistema que ve a las personas como objetos, un sistema que ha caído por su propio peso y por la reticencia de quienes lo sostenían a cambiar. De todas formas ella no es la única, todo lo que ha pasado en este manga viene de la mano de un sistema que sólo buscaba enriquecerse. I also want to discuss a little of the pacing for the series. Despite being 27 volumes in length, the series is incredibly fast paced. This lends the series to being one where it becomes extremely difficult to put down even a single volume. I even surprised myself by how fast I was able to finish the entire series. Como siempre los malos son más empáticos, cosa que ya es casi un meme, aunque cada vez entiedo un poco más a Clare como alguien que se expresa con acciones en vez de palabras o emociones. While all this sounds like a basic monster hunter story set in a medical setting it soon shifts to a more anime style of this. Stronger monsters so-called awakened ones get introduced which often have really interesting designs but sometimes can look like battle tech robots which I did not find fitting. What really sets Claymore apart, however, is its artwork. Yagi's illustrations are stunningly beautiful, with intricate detail and a dark, moody atmosphere that perfectly captures the tone of the story. The action scenes are particularly impressive, with dynamic poses and fluid movement that make the fights feel like a choreographed dance.

The only thing is, they all look alike so I had trouble knowing who's who lmao. And this literally carried on until the end. I can probably only name a handful of the silver-eyed witches if you showed me a picture, and only because they have distinguishable scars. And Clare. Y sigue mejorando, los personajes mejoran, la construcción de mundo mejora lento pero seguro, la acción mejora y los dibujos mejoran. Also I noticed that some Claymore box sets have their vol 14 at the top row, while others have it on the second row. I thought at first that could be the reason for the ripped spines or waviness of the books, but it does not seem like that's the case, since a lot of them have that problem, whether they were in the first or second row.De manera resumida, es un manga que al principio puede parecer algo descuidado por el dibujo pero donde la historia vale totalmente la pena. Monstruos que sólo pueden ser detectados y aniquilados por guerreras de ojos plateados que son mitad monstruo, mitad humanas. Esa dualidad las puede orillar a ser las mejores guerreras de su generación arriesgándose a convertirse en algo peor que los monstruos que matan.
