About this deal

Thanks to Logitech’s Lightsync technology, the illumination of other compatible devices can be synced with the keyboards lighting. And even though the G513 is wired and the G613 is wireless, latency is only slightly higher on the G613 and shouldn't be noticeable.

While plenty of mechanical keyboards use the venerable Cherry MX switches, Logitech has for some time now opted to develop its own mechanical switches named Romer-G. Moreover, even with the floating design, the keycaps are solid and there’s no cheap-feeling, wiggling keys on the G513. The detachable, memory-foam palmrest and premium aluminum-alloy construction make G513 full-featured and best-in-class. Unlike some metal top plates, it's not a fingerprint magnet and the floating, matte black keycaps look great against the base. org was created with the goal, to offer the most comprehensive list of mechanical keyboards in the web.During that time, I tested on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Planet Coaster during standard everyday play (fine, I also dabbled in some Lawn Mowing Simulator), and stress-tested speed and response times in CS:GO as well. The illumination, the gaming mode and macros for the function keys can be configured via the Logitech gaming software. This is the place to talk about Logitech G hardware and software, pro gaming competitions and our sponsored teams and players. The FN toggle feature in Logitech Gaming Software configures keys to perform media commands by default. However, the G512 provides a better typing experience because the tactile feedback is more pronounced, and the longer pre-travel helps reduce typos.

It’s still an incredibly compact keyboard made of a rigid plastic frame with a sheet of aircraft-grade 5052 aluminum to serve as its top plate. The Logitech G513 is a full-size wired gaming keyboard, while the Lenovo ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II is a 75% compact wireless board for mobile devices and tablets. Our unit uses Romer-G Tactile switches, which have a small tactile bump right before the actuation point. However, a lack of features we sometimes take for granted today means this is one best found on sale.

The replacements have a satisfyingly deeper recess that cradled my fingers, and the WASD keys in particular are wonderful for gaming.

However, the K845 has a longer pre-travel distance, which should help prevent typos, and it's fully compatible with Linux. The Logitech has RGB backlighting, incredibly low latency, a USB passthrough, and its keys are macro-programmable. Of course, one is to power your USB passthrough (located in the top right corner), but it's still worth considering if you're running low on free connections. Not only does it feel faster while gaming, the Romer-G Linear switch is something we actually enjoy typing on.through the center of the board can be used for the headset cable to avoid having the cable go around the keyboard or through and under the desk. I usually clock around 90WPM with full accuracy, and interestingly came far closer to that rate with the browns inside the new Logitech G413 SE. Kevin has over eight years of experience in the tech and games publications with previous bylines at Polygon, PC World, and more. However, these keys are all proprietary, which means you won't be able to swap them out too easily and will likely be stuck with the oily residue that can quickly build up.
