About this deal

As the parent and wife of Hard of Hearing people, I appreciate this book so much. It’s cute, and describes the experiences of some of these kids. One day, he goes to a special doctor for hearing, and his world changes. Ebony Feare is a deliciously charismatic tortoise, languorous with an impressive range of reptilian faces and stances and a resonant singing voice. Stefan Stuart’s ever impatient hare, more boyish than leporine, makes for an appropriately lively contrast despite his weaker singing voice. This striking world première from the nationally acclaimed British theatre company Deafinitely Theatre (The Vagina Monologues, Everyday and 4.48 Psychosis) is inspired by the extraordinary experiences of deaf people living with dementia. Polly graduated from Brighton Art School in 1999, where she studied illustration. Her best-selling book Penguin
