They use local Spanish factories which are all highly committed to reduce the environmental impact of shoe production, by using traditional techniques and handcrafted processes. Mercredy use an innovative production process to turn plastic bottles into fibres used to make the slippers. They do this through transforming plastic found in oceans into a heavy duty felt (it's very clever). I've been testing a pair at home and have worn them on wet ground whilst taking out the bins, absolutely no problem. The product is in same conditions as it has been delivered, keeping the original box and all the initial contents.

The Mule doesn't feature a thermal lining so although it gives some insulating benefits it will be one of the cooler slippers available. Its recycled PET felt upper features a navy hue with small dark brown details and an adjustable metal side buckle.

Through various processes, plastic bottles are turned into fabric - each shoe contains at least two recycled bottles. They are made of comfortable and light fabrics, with a breathable textile fibre insole, as well as a non-slip natural rubber sole.
