About this deal

Through it all, however, and above all else, the image is what it is all about so I now use film alongside digital.

In fact I try not to oversharpen film as a rule, especially using Clarity which can really emphasise grain. ColorPlus has a long history of changing names throughout the decades, but always maintaining its cheaper and mass public appeal. London Camera Exchange Limited, London Camera Exchange Solent Limited and London Camera Exchange Portsmouth Limited are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, register numbers 742719, 761264, 789602 and act as a credit broker and not a lender. Photos of the cameras and film box and digitised copies of negatives are produced with a Sony A3000 with 55mm Micro Nikkor and adapters processed in Affinity Photo. Kodak ColorPlus 200 is a versatile medium-speed daylight-balanced color negative film, characterized by its fine grain structure, high sharpness, and rich color saturation. In our view, it works best if your picture is taken in good lighting conditions and produces brilliant images when you want nostalgic-type results. We’ll send you exciting photography interviews, crazy tips and tricks, competitions giveaways, and unmissable offers. Kodak’s color negative range includes the professional Portra series, a film that’s dedicated to portraits or editorial (but that can be used in multiple settings). Please note that although we do not take any payment from you until the goods are ready for dispatch, the banks and credit card companies authorise that amount to be paid for a maximum of five to seven days.

CameraWorld is acting as a credit broker offering finance products from Omni Capital Retail Finance Limited. PhotoBite is a team of photographers, filmmakers, photo-journalists and tech geeks with the intention to inform and inspire, providing a pathway through the creative process and ultimately furnishing image-makers with the information, knowledge and tools needed for their creative journey, be that 1 or 24 frames per second. The exit pupil is the small circle of light you see when you hold the binoculars at arm's length and look through the eyepieces.Maybe the machine producing Color Plus just keeps working against all odds… Leica M6 | MS-Optics 35mm 1. Combining the classic and slightly "low-fi" look of this emulsion with colourful scenes photographed in direct light, Colorplus can give some fantastic results, with some resemblance to images I've only seen in photobooks from the likes of William Eggleston and Ernst Haas.

Better yet, using it in bright and sunny conditions as mentioned earlier will give a vibrant and contrasty look, while retaining some of the vintage aesthetic to the colour rendition Overexposing a little can lift the shadows and boost the colours while decreasing perceived grain. Also I don't use a scanner so the files from my digital camera always need a little help to get over the slight softness from the interpolation. Certainly, getting even close to correct colour is really tricky with thin negatives the way I go about it, though the built in conversions with a film a scanner would be less trying I imagine. You'll notice that even though film packaging is labelled as "Colorplus" (a pretty lazy name, I must say) the canisters inside are labelled "Kodacolor" with a branding scheme that looks like it's out of the 80's.

You can expect a good all-round performance from this film; with noticeable grain, warm tones, a slightly muted look to some colours such as the blues (especially in overcast conditions) and a generally "vintage" look.
