About this deal

Thanks to its IPS panel technology, the Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED Series TV has an excellent viewing angle. The TV has a wide viewing angle, allowing you to view the screen from almost any angle without losing color, accuracy, or contrast. This makes it an excellent choice for family movie nights, where everyone can gather around the TV and enjoy the show. The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED series TV is built with Quantum Dot technology, which provides vibrant and accurate colors. This technology uses tiny semiconductor nanocrystals that emit light in precise colors, producing a wide color gamut. The TV also features Dolby Vision HDR technology, which enhances each scene’s brightness, contrast, and color, resulting in a more immersive viewing experience.

The L5F is the second of two Laser TVs that have been introduced for 2022. This model takes advantage of an Ultra Short Throw Laser to produce a 4K Ultra HD image. The new OLED and Mini LED sets take top billing for 2021, which has led to the QLED/ULED options shuffling down the line to make space, the A7G looking to offer HDR performance at an affordable price.Once you turn the lights down, more issues surrounding the FALD and LCD technology become apparent with more blooming noticeable around things like subtitles and bright objects like white spaceships against the darkness of space. It is possible to mitigate against some of these issues and making sure your viewing environment is suitable for this type of TV display will help.

The built-in speakers only amount to 20W (2x10W in stereo), which is to be expected at this price point. While the mid-range drivers are limited in their range of frequencies, they’re also entirely innocuous. You won’t much bass here, for one, but the sound is never harsh or grating, and holds up even at higher volumes. The Staten Island Ferry scene shows that this Hisense has a good handle on colour. The blue sky, the yellow ferry and the red of Spider-man’s suit are all vibrant and well-matched. Looking to the clouds or the dark hull of the ferry, and it’s not too crude with HDR and contrast either. The video processing in the Hisense U7QF is powered by the Hi-View Engine which helps with motion and scaling of images. We found the upscaling to be good with only the odd instance of ringing around fine lines in some test patterns, but this was not visible in the vast majority of HD content we viewed. The 55A7GQ delivers a native 4K resolution and support for the HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision high dynamic range formats. There’s no support for the HDR10+ system, but getting support for even one active HDR system (Dolby Vision) on such an affordable TV is good news.A cookie set by YouTube to measure bandwidth that determines whether the user gets the new or old player interface. We’re told these features are in “the early stages of development”, but for now it’s probably better to give them a wide berth.
