About this deal

I tried logging points directly on the device, and while the machine beeps to indicate a completed log, when I go back to view the logs, they show as zero points collected. It was easy to pair the Bad Elf Pro with my iPad, and also with the iPad3 Garmin loaned me to test BlueChart Mobile, and all the mapping and charting apps I tried with it were able to use its GPS data fine. Bad Elf's line of GNSS receivers empower GIS and survey professionals to collect high-accuracy field data using any phone, tablet, or laptop. Or share your GPS data with passengers in the cabin so they can follow the flight on their own iPads. I bought the WiFi-only version due to the fact that I rarely use the 3G on my phone (mostly use it on WiFi at home) and didn't think it was worth getting it on the iPad, which is even less portable than the phone due to its size.

The display is quite small and not always easy to see in some lighting conditions, however when the GPS is paired with its app over bluetooth these minor limitations seem irrelevant as any details can be easily seen in the more complete displays provided by the app. The plan is to work with our GIS guys to develop the features etc, load it on a tablet (TBD) and then bluetooth the Bad Elf unit. This multi-constellation and multi-frequency bluetooth enabled GNSS receiver is the economic, comparative advantage in a total geospatial solution. Been a bad elf user for years and finally saw they had a bad elf app for Android, the largest mobile operating system in the world. The power/backlight and Bluetooth on/off buttons are obvious, and come with screen confirmations, while pushing the GPS button pages through available screens. We will see but I have doubts about the reliability of this logic and therefore about GPS-based anchor alarms in general. One issue seems that it won't allow you to connect to another app through this app, meaning you have to choose between this or another collection app (esri feild for examole) Major issue is no way to offload data from bad elf through the app which really sucks. Whilst it won't be the answer for anyone wishing to use apps such as Google Maps that require access to mobile data, you can always use a MiFi or other mobile data terminal if you wished.

And whereas the Bad Elf Pro “supports up to 5 simultaneous clients, you’ll be able to stream GPS to whatever combination of devices you want to use.Baseline Equipment Company is a full line dealer of Land Surveying Equipment and Industrial Safety Supplies. I wanted to use CamerAlert with it but didn't check beforehand about GPS and now realise that only the 3G/4G version has assisted GPS. The real-time GPS data from a single GPS Pro can be used by up to 5 devices simultaneously - any combination of supported iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch devices. iSailor not only opened up and imported log data from the Bad Elf app, but it also handled the whole 28,782 point GPX file, which is several megabytes big.

ELF WARNING: Consumption of too much Winter’s Ale may be bad for your elf and may impair your ability to drive a sleigh or operate toy-making machinery. Our flagship Bad Elf Flex GNSS receiver is the first survey-grade receiver to support a flexible "pay only for the accuracy you need" daily token model that minimizes up-front costs and eliminates monthly subscriptions. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. The Bad Elf Flex is a high performance GNSS receiver with fully unlocked RTK engine capabilities and access to the Atlas L-Band correction service.Der Preis ist sicher etwas hoch, relativiert sich aber, da keine monatlichen Folgekosten wie bei anderen Lösungen anfallen. I've also found that the communication between the app and the unit isn't reliable, which may be the crux of the problem. It almost feels as though it's assuming that it's oriented perfectly along the axis of movement and it's adding a movement vector to a last-known position, and getting it horribly wrong when it's moving at speed and wedged into a pocket pointing sideways.

I know they didn't care about my experience because I was just some Shmoe who bought their loss-leader model, but a year later that experience is preventing me from even considering their high-end model.iSailor Support, I just sent you those files from the Bad Elf app, but I may not have been clear about my iSailor experience with them.
