About this deal

This is a great, inexpensive pedal that serves a very useful purpose, especially if you're playing slap bass. And if you don't enjoy replacing 9V batteries, you can always use Behringer's PSU-SB DC power supply (not included) to power this pedal. The BLE400 compresses these different sound levels so the loud signals are matched by the softer sounds for a more balanced performance. We have also included a status LED for effect On/Off and battery check, and you can run your BLE100 on a 9 V battery or a DC power supply (not included).

It works by reducing the dynamic range of a signal, often referred to as compression which means that loud signals are turned down and softer sounds are turned up, so they more closely match each other. The Behringer BLE400 Bass Limiter Enhancer Pedal is designed to gives bass guitarists a smooth overall sound, eliminating volume peaks. You, are responsible for your use of the Image and hold Music Tribe IP Ltd free and harmless from any liability connected to your use of the Image. The “noise” comes entirely from the application of the enhancer dial, which is effectively a brightness / treble which does add nice element of “sparkle” to the bass tone which for me is a positive when paired with a Markbass cab which tends to roll-off the higher frequencies, producing a slightly darker sound. Pedal is equipped with a tone compensation circuit with dedicated Enhance control that allows for dial in just the right amount of sparkle, without giving the bass that over-processed or brittle sound. And I’ll have to ‘fess I do like how much less pedal board real estate it’s taking up compared to the Cali 76 CB I’ve just moved on! At "min" (or -60 in the case of the Keeley) the compression will kick in at very low input volumes => overall the pedal is providing the maximum limiting it can. So, I got this, the VTone bass21 DI pedal, the BOD400 bass overdrive pedal, and the BEQ700 Bass Graphic Equalizer(stil figuring out this one) pedal; all by behringer.

e. it wasn't as good as the dedicated budget Behringer - I guess that is to be expected given the maximum compression ration of 9:1. If we calibrate the Behringer Threshold 0 to 10 (= min to max) then with the Threshold set between 7 to 10 it had little impact on volume output (minimal limiting). It further provides dedicated Level, Ratio and Threshold controls, a status LED for effect on/off and battery check and a first-class electronic On/Off switch for noise-free operation. All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. I have heard very good things about Behringer products over the years regarding amps and rack-mount processors and such, but I have never owned anything till now.Your low thumping tones shall shake the very bones of the earth, while your slap and pop techniques will drop pantaloons and briefs alike.
