About this deal

Glenda Miller, patriarch of the Miller clan was such a loving and accepting mother, but worried about driving her kids away. I loved the relationship she had with her husband and mother-in-law! We’ll figure it out.” Arnie gathered up his files and his laptop. “The timing is good. Everyone thinks about fitness in January, right? We’ve all stuffed ourselves over the festive period. Turkey. Multiple family meals.” This Christmas the Miller siblings have one goal - to avoid their family's well-meaning questions. Ross, Alice and Clemmie have secrets that they don't intend to share, and they are relying on each other to deflect attention. Snowed in for Christmas was such a delight! I loved the big Miller family even with their struggles it was evident they loved each other, and I loved how they all welcomed Lucy in at this vulnerable time in her life. She needed the extra care and love, and a bit of romance, of course! I love Sarah Morgan’s stories. I’d classify Snowed in for Christmas as part womens fiction, part romance. Her talented writing brought the characters to life with real-feeling, relatable emotions and I rooted for each and every one of them to find their joy! Loved the dreamy, winter wonderland setting, too! Definite recommend! She didn’t want to move. She’d been raised here, by her grandmother, who had loved everything about London and had been keen to share its joys and its history with her granddaughter.

Lucy thought about Arnie, sitting with his head in his hands. She thought about Ted and his new baby. About Maya spending her first Christmas in her new flat. She thought about her own situation. “I’m one step further on than motivated. I’m desperate.” Desperate for Arnie. Desperate for her colleagues. Desperate for herself. Just give us the bad news, Arnie. Have you made a decision about who you’re going to let go?” Maya, always direct, was the one to voice what they were all wondering. There you are! I’ve been calling you. I’ll take that—” Rhea, the receptionist, rose from her chair and grabbed the coat from her. “Wow. You look stunning. You’re the only person I know who can look good in a Christmas sweater. Where did you find that one?”The three Miller adult children live in London and are tired of the never-ending questions from their parents about their personal lives. Things are going on in their lives that they can’t even discuss with their siblings. They devise a fictitious plan to satisfy their parents – Ross will tell them that he is dating a girl named Lucy. Little did they know that Lucy Clarke would appear at the Highland home of their parents looking for Ross for business reasons.

There was an exchange of glances. A few people shifted in their chairs and sneaked glances at Lucy. Maya frowned. “Why? This is a fitness account. Sportswear. The brief is to expand their customer base. No offense, Lucy, but do you even own yoga pants?” Lucy stood up and headed to the coffee machine. She poured two cups and took one to him. Now that she was close, she could see that his face was pale. “Have you taken something for that indigestion? Maybe I shouldn’t give you this coffee.”I unquestionably enjoyed this book, it’s the right time of year to have a weekend festive escape and for devoted fans of Sarah or newbies to her writing will find this a joy to read and I’d happily recommend. Morgan is a masterful storyteller…. For fans of Jojo Moyes, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Stacey Ballis. — Booklist

This was the fairy tale, but she’d never liked fairy tales. Occasionally growing up she’d read them to Clemmie, but her sister had been unimpressed by Alice’s version of the stories. The princess doesn’t punch the prince, Alice, and she doesn’t cook the frog in garlic butter. An uninvited guest
Lucy Clarke is facing a Christmas alone, and the prospect of losing her job unless she can win a major piece of business from Ross Miller. She’ll deliver her proposal to his family home in the Scottish Highlands and then leave. After all, she wouldn’t want to intrude on the Miller’s perfect family Christmas. I never did like Alice. The best part of the book for me was when her wannabe fiancee, Nico tells her off for how she's been treating him.
