About this deal

Chicago-based board-certified dermatologist Caroline Robinson, MD, is also a fan of the Exfoliating Body Wash, in particular. Its "8.8 free acid value of glycolic acid is mild enough for sensitive skin but effective enough for dry, rough, bumpy, or flaky skin on the body," she says of the body polish, which can be used to treat dry or scaly feet and legs — as well as the rest of the body. In addition to recommending this wash for KP, Dr. Robinson says the brightening formula also helps reduce hyperpigmentation, too. I should've mentioned that I also have KP on top of the other 2 skin problems. Anyway, grabbed it, used it, and went to sleep. The smell, if I'm honest is a bit off putting, but the results the next morning were incredible!

This lotion contains 10% Lactic Acid (AHA) to resurface the top layer of skin, helping to reduce the appearance of hard, rough bumps often associated with KP. With Urea, Colloidal Oatmeal and Ceramides, the deeply hydrating formula reveals skin that is healthier-looking, supple and silky smooth. The places where my psoriasis is thin and not flaring, felt as smooth as a baby's bottom! My legs, fish belly white as they are, where so smooth feeling I couldn't believe it. A multitasking body lotion with 10% AHA that combines the benefits of a chemical exfoliant and moisturizer to banish bumps and hydrate skin. Again, that smell is different than if the results weren't so incredible it would probably put me off of using it. You can't smell it after a minute or two and nobody else can smell it either though. So, it's ultimately not a big deal, especially when the results are really amazing. There is just one catch regarding glabridin and licorice: the amount of glabridin in commercial licorice extracts can vary a lot. We have seen extracts with only 4% glabridin as well as 40% glabridin. The latter one is a very-very expensive ingredient, so if you are after the depigmenting properties try to choose a product that boasts its high-quality licorice extract.

Nr. 2 magic property is that licorice is a potent anti-inflammatory. Glabridin has also some soothing properties but the main active anti-inflammatory component is glycyrrhizin. It’s used to treat several skin diseases that are connected to inflammation including atopic dermatitis, rosacea or eczema. Why It's Worth It: It's not just exfoliating lotions and scrubs that help smooth the look and feel of keratosis pilaris — the best body wash for keratosis pilaris can make a difference, too. "I really like the two-step approach in the KP Kit by Glytone that pairs a glycolic acid-based body cleanser and body lotion with vitamin E for extra hydration," Dr. Prather says. Aqua (Water, Eau), Lactic Acid, Propanediol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Silica, Sodium Hydroxide, Palmitic Acid, Dimethicone, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Glycerin, Urea, Allantoin, Colloidal Oatmeal, Ceramide NP, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Extract, Sodium Phytate, Sodium PCA, Xanthan Gum, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium EDTA. A-MAZING! (But the smell is a little bit odd) I have psoriasis and have had it since I was 16 yrs old. So, almost 30 years now. I'm also diabetic and that means extra dry skin. I got this in one of my monthly or quarterly beauty boxes. I couldn't find the lotion I had been previously using and in a hurry, I grabbed this one.Oh, and one more thing: glabridin seems to be also an antioxidant, which is just one more reason to be happy about licorice root extract on an ingredient list.
