About this deal

The metal frame above, for all except the most giant of heads, will remain above the strap and not come into close enough proximity to ever feel on your head. The asymmetrical ear cups have complete freedom to articulate (rotate and tilt) and far more than enough movement to adapt to most human heads. It could be the tuning implementation responsible for the slight increase in bass presence which I bet was one of HIFIMAN’s goals with this model. Understanding this is usually an amp metric... This is simple- but the 2021 seems to be far more precise during long mid-upper passages. I really like their sound, they sound much closer to me, and notes in the music feel like they end much more abuptly (probably adding to the soundstage effect). The 2020 is no slouch, but not the same- it is clearly a planar with that fast response, but it sounds smoother. It's the recording that dictates the amount of soundstage on the Arya V3, as opposed to an application presented by the limitations of the headphone like the V2. That may sound harsh, but I'm trying to objectively state what I'm hearing (which admittedly is a subjective process). I think this is ideal, as songs sound more like the way they were meant to be heard... If I want effects, personally, I'll go to a DSP.

The weight may look somewhat heavy on paper. On my head, the Arya are well-balanced and feel rather light. They are easy to wear for long periods of time without any irritation. If you fancy A/B comparing headphones, and this is your endless obsession (as it is with many of us enthusiasts), go ahead with a clear warning that your happiness and wallet are unsafe until you have these in your possession. If you’re concerned about the drive factor, relative to more portable headphones, and if you haven’t experienced harder to drive flagships before, I have to tell you, some weaker AMPs and weaker sources probably won’t exactly suffice, and Arya isn’t done right from an entry-level source, FiiO K5PRO, for example driving them power-wise, but not doing them justice.Treble is quite extended and this gives it a distinct sense of air and openness – it sounds light, almost delicate, and it counterbalances the otherwise massive bass presence well. Although it is a bit prominent in the lower region, it’s never fatiguing, or harsh, or excessive, though it does contribute to the hissing and sibilance of the mids. It offer a lot of small details that pop out clearly and are effortlessly heard. Just like in the other two sections, speed is very good here as well. Treble is not so much sparkly as it is shimmering: it is quietly giving you a good balance of energy and liveliness on one side and of politeness on the other. HiFiMAN Arya Comparisons In case you receive the HiFiMAN - Arya (Stealth Magnet Version) with a manufacturing defect, please raise a Before its revision, the Arya was one of my favorites from HiFiMAN because of its immaculate soundstage. Everything on the Arya is crisp and airy, culminating in a spacious stereo field that’s highly immersive and wide. Now with the stealth magnets, a slightly different effect is presented. Most of what makes the Arya great isn’t lost in translation, but I could definitely spot the difference immediately. The sound elements appear a lot less floaty, instead of focusing on stricter positioning for more accurate imaging. It still keeps a wide and spacious presentation, but the layers feel a lot less exaggerated, filling in the space between sound elements with more tonal resonance. You still get a great sense of height to the sound, as the image comes in with a large display, but I felt there was a feeling of distance that was taken away. Sounds in the original Arya bloomed from an intended source, but here the response is a little more linear. Low End Maybe I have a very strange taste but to this date, I thought the every single of them were really bad. Bass:The low tones are musical and elastic, and their slightly warmed tone perfectly complements the overall sound. With the EF600, the dynamics of the low tones revealed the enormous technical possibilities offered by the latest aria. Compared to the edition XS, the bass is more natural, linear and much more developed. The low tones have a lot of air and look great with contemporary music, which further enhances the excellent musical experience. The bass is elastic and really fast, showing all the benefits of planar headphones and their full potential. However, these are open headphones, but they have no problems with either the quality or the quantity of low tones, presenting a very high and good level.

We listened to more songs than those named in this playlist, but those are excellent for identifying a sonic signature. PRaT, Texturization, Detail, Resolution, Dynamics, Impact, and overall tonality are all revealed by those songs. We recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you’re searching for new music! This new Arya Stealth Magnet version features HIFIMAN’s recently developed stealth magnets, which feature a special shape that enables waves to pass through the magnets without generating interference. They use a nanometer (super-thin) diaphragm that guarantees fast response and the bare minimum of distortion. The improved treble presence also shines a better light on nuanced cues so there is enough air for vocals to come through clean and clear. It is not quite as spaced out or airy as something like the HE1000 V2, the staging is more rounded than expansive but it never sounded congested or vague for instrumental placement. I am told that the magnet array is not asymmetrical in alignment does it deploy large and small magnets contrary to the original Arya driver construction. That makes it more or less the same design principle as the Susvara internals. They make tons of great headphones at various price tags. From Shangri-La - an electrostatic headphone that was made to show that they can make Sennheiser’s Orpheus but better, through a bit more casual, but still ridiculous in terms of drive requirement Susvara, to a touch of high-end in a budget-friendly price - HE400se. In between there are even more headphones, but I don’t have enough time to write about them all. For all of you newcomers, let’s highlight the most important thing about the company HiFiMAN - the technology.

The HiFiMAN Arya are, in many ways, the embodiment of HiFiMAN’s approach to building headphones, from both an acoustic and a design perspective. Their unusual design is conceived to maximize the sound quality and the comfort, while their sound signature is slightly bright while still offering a bass presence that’s flawless. In many ways, the Arya represent the archetype of HiFiMAN headphones: they’re either a better version of products in lower tiers or a tuned-down version of stuff that’s above them, though in the latter case the differences are mostly minimal (unless we’re talking about the Susvara or the Shangri-La…). The HiFiMan Arya has been seriously enjoyable to listen to and with its tonally accurate, easy-going tuning, outstanding comfort, and superb technical performance, the Arya has really proven itself to be a sensational headphone. Once you go desktop, the Arya Stealth scales really well without any noticeable clipping. Feed it more power and that bass response just hits deeper and the treble gets even more control. Frequency ResponseBefore people will go crazy about the wood veneer on such an expensive pair of headphones - chill. There are companies that used real wooden rings on their headphones in the past, and guess what...they tend to break, like a lot. Also, real wood increases weight, and this would have been everything that HiFiMAN doesn't stand for. A lot can be said about HiFiMAN's past regarding their build quality and materials used, but they always put comfort as their top priority. The Arya is a bit brighter than the HD800S, though it’s also less peaky. Both take well to tubes, which surprised me (Valhalla 2 has very low impedance, so I guess it works better with planars than most OTL tube amps?). The tube effect is more apparent on the Arya. Although I do not have the original Arya here, simply by comparing it to a lot of the previous generation HIFIMAN headphones and the Edition XS you can tell right away that the company has made a serious effort to deliver a weightier and slightly smoother house sound signature. HIFIMAN Arya is a flagship headphone from HIFIMAN, a headphone with a unique signature that will literally blow your mind, but in a very specific way. It has a pretty good price point of 1600 USD, and its main competitors will be HIFIMAN HE6SE, Kennerton Thror, and Crosszone CZ-1 Headphones. All of them are amazing, so the battle will be fierce.
