About this deal

Customers are saying: Some customers have reported that the bag has limited storage space, which can be a negative if you need to carry a lot of items with you. After thoroughly testing each bag, we then scored them on several criteria, including comfort, aesthetics, value for money, practicality and cleanliness. Key details – Features: Removable changing mat; Weight: 0.6kg; Bag dimensions: 35 x 38 x 15cm, Washing instructions: Bag and mat wipe clean It is on the more expensive side but if you value sustainability and want to support a smaller independent brand, it’s a great choice.

Cons: The bag is on the expensive side compared to other diaper bags on the market, which may make it less accessible to some parents on a budget. Another potential downside is the size of the bag. While it does offer ample storage space, some customers have found that it is a bit larger than they expected, which can make it more cumbersome to carry around. The bag also comes with a changing mat that fits perfectly inside the bag, and it's easy to wipe clean after use. Pros: If you have a little more money to spend on an achingly-cool designer baby changing bag, you won't more quite-clearly-luxe than the Burberry logo-adorned baby changing shoulder bag. The iconic Burberry print gives the bag a classic and timeless look that will never go out of style. Cons: The bag is specifically designed to be used with Stokke strollers, so it may not be compatible with other brands of strollers. This clever bag is two products in one – as a lightweight changing bag, it is very spacious, leaving room for all the baby essentials. As a cot, it makes live easy when visiting friends. We love this clever bag! What they say: The JEM + BEA Puffy XL Hobo Changing Bag also comes with a range of accessories, including a changing mat and a matching zippered pouch. These accessories are made with the same high-quality materials as the bag itself and are designed to make your life easier when you're on the go with your baby.

Many modern changing bags are designed to look good while offering practical features too, so it's perfectly possible to find a changing bag you're also happy to use for other situations. In the early months and years of parenthood, you'll be using your changing bag a lot, so it makes sense to put as much consideration and money towards it as you would any other everyday bag. What to look for when choosing a changing bag The spill test: We spilt a small amount of milk onto each bag, both inside and out (something that’s sure to happen in the lifetime of any changing bag), then cleaned them up as best we could. We assessed how easily the bag was able to be wiped clean and whether there were any stains or smells left behind. I would potentially like to see different colours available. Also maybe more compartments within the bag so I could separate everything out more precisely? Overall, it's a fantastic bag and I would highly recommend it! Tested by mum Lucy Hardman for the Mother & Baby awards 2018: The changing bag doesn’t open as wide as some of the others in this list, and although it can carry an awful lot of kit – in ours is a blanket, three changes of clothes, six nappies, wet wipes, a rattle, two bibs, two muslin cloths, our red book, two bottles of ready-to-feed Aptamil milk and two bottles of pre-sterilised Aptamil bottles – your items aren’t always that easy to find, even with the separate compartments. It is incredibly lightweight, though, at 590g and the different carry options are surprisingly beneficial. Next, consider its ease of use. Are you after a traditional travel cot comprising a frame and fabric cot, or a pop-up travel cot (which might be lighter but less sturdy)? Is your travel cot compact and easy to fold away? Will it take long to assemble? The travel cots listed in this edit have all been selected for their ease of use.

Changing bags come in a variety of styles and sizes. With lots to fit in, it can be tempting to go for the largest option you can find. But you’ll need to consider if it’s too heavy to lift, especially as you may be pushing or carrying your little one too. There are quite a few different types of baby changing bag – so before you start shopping, it's worth considering which will best suit your needs and family. Your baby can use the travel cot well into their third year, so it is worth the investment,” Motherhood Coach and Baby Expert Millie Poppins told us. Your travel cot will serve a purpose until your toddler is too big or old enough to climb out. Are travel cots safe? We also asked writer Becca Heyes to test a selection of changing bags and let us know her thoughts. As a mum to a boisterous two-year-old and a three-month-old baby, Becca was able to offer insight into what makes a really great changing bag that will grow with a family and last for years to come. Over the course of three months, Becca rigorously tested a shortlist of 15 bags before narrowing them down to favourites, some of which we included on this list. We combined all of this research to choose a selection of products that we think offer something for everybody. How we tested: Here at Mumsnet, we're dedicated to making parents' lives easier and we know how much difference the right product can make. That's why we've vetted and reviewed all sorts of products, from the best breast pumps to the best baby bottles - turning to the real experts: the real parents of the Mumsnet forums, for recommendations.

The sliding panel can be lifted and lowered with one hand, and the 11 height adjustment options mean you can fit this travel cot to almost any height/style of bed frame or sofa bed. These scores allowed us to compare the bags as objectively as possible and to award our favourite bags with coveted Mumsnet Best awards. Any bags that failed our tests were not included in our recommendations. We then added other bags to our list, based on research. Why you should trust usLooks for added extras - is there a perfect-fit changing mat included or do you need to buy one separately? Transparency is really important to us and that's why we're always upfront about how we tested the products we recommend. We won't always recommend the cheapest products or the ones with the most extra features. We write about products that we feel offer the best value to most parents – the ones we'd recommend to our own friends and family. I think there should be a separate compartment for the changing mat as it was awkward to get in with all the other items in the bag. Otherwise it’s great! Tested by mum Zoe Harrison for the Mother & Baby awards 2018: Whether you’re looking for a cheap, pragmatic baby changing bag or a luxurious leather holdall, our simple guide to choosing the best baby changing bags will help narrow down the search for a piece of kit that works for you, your family and your budget.

I do think this deserves to win as I haven't seen many of these travel bags on the market. I think it’s a good price, as many normal changing bags are more expensive than this. The design of the bag makes it look very expensive and designer but it would be affordable for many mums. Stroller baby changing bags are nappy bags which you can attach to your pram or pushchair. Again, they tend to be smaller, but pram organisers terminate any need to juggle bags and push your little one along at the same time. Changing mat included? Yes. This bag comes complete with Jem + Bea eco-changing mat which is generously sized and padded for comfort.

Find out more about why we love these baby changing bags below. Baby changing bags: what you need to know I would definitely choose this bag over any others, I think it's an amazing idea. There’s lots of room, I don't struggle to zip it up, and the cot side is great and will last a while as it is quite long. The best travel cots come with genuinely comfortable mattresses (nowhere near as lumpy as they once were) for your baby girl or baby boy to get a killer night's kip, and they double up as playpens for during the day/when you're getting ready for dinner with thanks to the high mesh sides.
