About this deal

The Sura Bangyikhan distillery in Pathum Thani Province was a modern factory with low energy usage. All system controls were the latest in European technology. It was the most modern liquor distillery during the period. When the old Bangyikhan Distillery at Bangyikhan came to an end with its surrounding environment developed through time, the Sura Bangyikhan Distillery in Pathum Thani Province became the heir to the production of Mekhong and other noted liquors. The distillery ownership also passed on to Sura Bangyikhan Co., Ltd. Made with selected ingredients like espelette-spiced palm syrup, filtered tamarind tea and Rittenhouse rye whiskey that are mixed together, the Vish’s Twang is chilled overnight before serving. It is usually served in glass over a large ice cube and garnished with fresh mint or spearmint. Known as “The Spirit of Thailand”, Mekhong is the first domestically produced branded golden spirit of Thailand. It is a distilled spirit made from 95 percent of sugar cane/molasses and five percent of rice.

This Thailand alcohol is heavily associated with international sports clubs, like Manchester United, and even partners with the Red Bull F1 Racing Team. However, just as distinctive is Singha’s alcohol content; while most lagers sit around 3-4 percent by volume, this famous Thai beer is known for its whopping 6 percent APV. With a rich malty flavor, Singha is the perfect choice to accompany a salty Thai curry.Maybe that’s the main secret of Hong Thong or they add some special kind of rice so Thai guys like to drink it every other night.

Chang And Singha BeerSangSom (แสงโสม) is a rum from Thailand, distilled from sugarcane. It was introduced in November 1977 and has since become a dominant brand in the Thai spirits market. Whether you like your coconut water from young coconuts, or poured into bottles, this is one of the most well-known drinks in Thailand. Fresh coconut water is prized for its delicious taste, refreshing properties, and high nutritional value. On the label of Sang Som it even says “Thai Rum” and it’s still being sold as “Thai Whiskey” in bars and clubs all over Thailand. Weird. I guess just because it sounds better. You can find several imported whiskeys in Thailand and by far the most popular and consumed one is Johnnie Walker Whiskey. Thailand, a country in Southeast Asia that is full of surprises with beautiful sceneries and amazing culture. This country is well-known for so many different things, from tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins, to the ornate temples displaying figures of Buddha. Their coffee is also different as it is often mixed with ground tamarind seed. You can also spot some iced coffee since they are popular in South-east Asia. Thai’s brewed coffee and tea are also good but they may be strong, sweet, and commonly served with milk. What I like about Hong Thong is that even if I drink one of these small 350ml bottles all by myself I’m not just getting drunk very cheaply but somehow I never get a hangover the next day – very different with Sang Som or Mekhong. It is located at A Praid Dos Coqueiro, Comoro, Dom Aleixo, Dili, Timor-Leste. Telephone No: 670 772 48006.

Sangsom Co., Ltd. has set up a research and development unit to develop and control the production process of SangSom to maintain its quality and taste standards. If you are looking for something refreshing to drink during a hot tour or after eating Thai food, grab some soda water or some famous soft drink brands such as Coke, Pepsi, Orange Crush and Fanta. No matter where you are in Thailand, you’ll notice one thing – everyone in Thailand loves grass jelly. These gelatinous cubes are made from plant proteins and are naturally sweet. Sometimes you’ll find a fruit or even chocolate flavors. That said, many Thais prefer the natural taste and texture of the jelly. This year, I chose to hop around Asia. My first stint was in Koh Samui, Thailand, where I suffered/enjoyed a 90-minute Muay Thai workout most days. The others, I explored the unexpected number of Italian restaurants and bars, Thai food and night markets that cluster Lamai Beach, where I had the pleasure of staying. If you’ve been anywhere in Southeast Asia, you’ll know just how famous Milo is. This creamy Australian malt beverage is easily the most well-known drink in Thailand and is a favorite for locals of all ages. Sold in most cafes, restaurants, or by the tin in convenience stores, Milo is just as beloved, whether hot or cold. Creamy, malty, and delicious, this favorite drink in Thailand is definitely one to try during your visit! Grass Jelly Drinks Whiskey is a product of distilling alcohol made from grains and that is exactly what Hong Thong and Blend 285 are (even if they still contain some molasses), Thailand’s most popular whiskeys and like most other brands being produced by Thailand’s largest beverage company, ThaiBev. According to a myriad of sources, the rum was crafted in 1977 and does contain additives and coloring that make it a less-than-pure spirit. As I saw in Koh Samui, it’s often listed under “whiskey” on a restaurant’s list of liquors, but it is made from molasses. Aged for approximately three years, it comes in at 40% ABV with a light golden hue that complements its taste and makes it perfect for a long nap by the pool. Looking for a cheap drink? Chang beer is cheaper than Singha, but still provides that smooth, crisp taste. It is made from the finest quality malt, hops and deep well-water.
