I’ll fix that right up now. I want to add more information on the advantages of two boxes, since every other post last night seemed to be, “I got two SC Seraphon boxes, is this good?” You can get soooo much out of two boxes! This will give you much stronger control over terrain but only functions in your own territory. So while it can help you defend your side of the board it will not help if you push the offense.

When we saw this incredible Seraphon army, we knew we had to share it with you. Without further ado, let’s hand over to Brad to talk all about his remarkable conversions.

The box comes with 8 models however the unit size is multiples of 5. They are battleline in a Seraphon army. You have to get dangerously close to make this work but with proper screening this can be clutch. It can shut down both melee and magic heroes so it’s a versatile artefact. B With the bits provided, for each 4 Saurus Knights you assemble, one model may be assembled as an Alpha Knight, one model may be assembled to carry a Stardrake Icon, and one model may be assembled to carry Wardrums. If the minimum size of a unit of Saurus Knights was 4 models, you could build two 4-model units, each with full command, from a single Start Collecting: Seraphon box. You are not forced to assemble any Saurus Knight as an Alpha Knight, Stardrake Icon-bearer, or Wardrummer. Ability: First to Battle – In the first battle round, add 3″ to the Move characteristic of FANGS OF SOTEK SKINK units.The idea for my Seraphon army came when I was thinking of a new army to start for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Seraphon were one of my first armies, so I wanted to give them another go after all this time. But how would I convert them? Free bonus that’s pretty decent. 3″ doesn’t sound like a lot but with some smart manuevering you can get yourself behind cover and closer to an objective. I'm going to approach two-box optimization from the view that I want to not only have a variety of models in my collection, but have a variety of point-costs to build lists with. I think the two boxes will serve you well, as you can have as many as 1580 points from just two boxes, or as few as as 1380, following my directions.

Great stuff. Has good range and will make it easier for your melee units to get in close, or escape from a bad situation. B As an army, you have two aspects of the Seraphon to choose from: The Starborne, representing the Seraphon in their more ‘alien’ aspect aboard their starships are capable of teleporting units in from space, and the Coalesced representing the Seraphon in their more ‘primal’ state in the realms, where you tap more heavily into brute primal force, and the various monstrous dinosaurs at their disposal- that’s right, I did say dinosaurs. The Seraphon’s most unique aspect, and likely the reason you’re interested in them, is the fact that they’re all dinosaurs from space. Probably the worst scenery piece. The army’s unique scenery, the Realmshaper Engine is one of the weakest in the game, as it’s deployed before you choose sides, meaning your opponent could sneak you out and choose to deploy on the side you put it down. At least they can’t use it, I guess.

Not a bad option but you can circumvent this by making a non Saurus unit your General if you want something else. Use the throne bits from the Troglodon to construct a throne appropriate to the Skink Starseer, and use magnets to attach the Skink from the Carnosaur. With a second throneless base made, it easily represents both Skink Wizards, affording you much flexibility in list buildilng. Command Trait: Dominant Predator – A KOATL’S CLAW SAURUS general must have this. Roll a dice each time this general is used to issue a command to a friendly KOATL’S CLAW SAURUS unit. On a 4+, you receive 1 extra command point. Your opponent will gun for your Slann if they can so giving them a little survivability never hurt, plus it makes their casting or unbinding more reliable. B Important note to remember, Slaann can switch their memorized spell at the end of their hero phase so ranking them is a little more difficult. Just because a spell has a “lower” grade doesn’t mean it’s useless, just niche. Unlike most armies that’s not a problem because you can just switch to what’s best for that moment.

This tutorial is based around building the Carnasour with the scar vet rider and the Troglodon Oracle not being used on the Troglodon. Can heal 1 wound to each unit in this battalion, D3 wounds if it is wholly within 18″ of a SLANN. Again, I like this but nobody is taking this many Bastiladon and Stegadons without being Thunder Lizards. Units Leaders Lord Kroak It’s ok, on a casting roll of less than 10 the effects aren’t earth shattering but are nice regardless. d3 wounds on a 10+ is a little better but swingy, use it to keep your heroes topped off. B If you use the sprues to build a Saurus Oldblood or Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur, you will have leftover bits with which to convert a Skink Hero of some kind. I recommend a Skink Starpriest, as I think he's very useful with the units you will have from Start Collecting: Seraphon. You can also magnetize the Saurus rider to switch between the Saurus Oldblood and Scar-Veteran. I recommend modeling the Saurus rider with armor.If you are still keen to field a Saurus army, this is a good starting point and you may need 2 boxes (allowing you to have 2 different behemoths, 3 units of 5 Saurus Knights and a unit of 20 Saurus Warriors) but no more than 2. A Stegadon, because Stegadons can do all sorts of goofy things. I'm not very familiar with them, but they're a big dinosaur and they'll look great on the table.
