About this deal

Providing a daily recommended amount of a high-fibre, age-appropriate fortified food will help ensure that your pet receives essential vitamins and minerals not found in hay. Pellet Selection Practice makes perfect! Until you get the hang of syringe feedings, practice before feeding your pet by loading a syringe with a small amount of mixed Critical Care and testing how much pressure is required to get the desired amount of food to come out. Grass hay should be the high-fibre cornerstone of every rabbit’s diet. The fibre in hay helps meet the important digestive health needs of herbivores such as rabbits. A daily recommended amount of a uniform, fortified food provides essential vitamins and minerals not found in hay. Fresh greens are also an important component of a rabbit’s diet, and healthy treats can be beneficial when given in moderation. HAY This is a complete and concentrated food supplement for small herbivores which can be given through a small syringe directly into the mouth, or may be eaten without help if the patient is not too ill. Critical Care food is usually given after an illness or surgical procedure and aids convalescence.

Guinea pigs often show their affection through vocalizations. For example, you may hear a sound called “wheeking” when your pet is looking for a treat or purring when being held. Also, your guinea pig may “popcorn” – bounce excitedly and repeatedly to express happiness. The best way to interact with your guinea pig is to play with him on the floor. As creatures of habit, guinea pigs need to be introduced to changes slowly in regards to feedings and routines. Access to a variety of high-quality hays provides different tastes & textures for your pet, keeping him active, engaged & healthy.Marsupial Nutrition. Chapter 4: Hindgut fermenters – the wombats. Now he's 10,5 years old and have been living mainly on critical care for a year because he has lost some teeth and can not chew hay (which he never liked much anyway so that doesn't bother him). I grind hay in a blender to powder and mix it with critical Care on 50:50 ratio. The water needs to be boiling when poured on the mixed powder. It works great in a normal syringe, but be sure to use a two-Component syringe, the rubber in three-component gets swollen from the mixture for some reason.

And we used it on an Eastern Grey Kangaroo that was having loose feces and had to have a reduction in the amount of milk being fed. The Critical Care provided needed energy as well as appearing to help keep the feces firm and preventing her from losing weight until her milk could be increased to the normal amount. This product makes me able to keep my best fury friend, he would not be around without it. Plus he likes it and his stomach functions perfect too! I feed him 4-5times daily and he oftens comes jumping to the feeding-blanket to tell me he'is hungry if I forget to feed him on time. Critical Care can be mixed with water, formed into shapes, and left out to dry overnight to create treats for your little ones. While you may want to bake the treats, it is best not to expose them to such high heat to keep the vitamins and other nutrients from degrading. These treats can be stored for 1-2 days and are a great way to get creative to provide nutritional enrichment for your pet. The teeth of rabbits and guinea pigs never stop growing, making it critical to provide a proper diet centred around hay. Fauna of Australia, Chapter 32. Vomatidae, by RT Wells.
