About this deal

Soundwave was a member of the Decepticons led by Megatron who fled to another dimensional Strata, pursued by the Autobot Spy Changers. They gathered an assortment of technologies from the human world, including Unit: E's Project: Chimera files. Soundwave also guided Crash Test and Rumble in stealing the Brainwave Scanner from Metro City. Megatron and Soundwave combined their new advancements to become Go-Bots, augmenting their body-types to be more powerful than the Spy Changers.

Soundwave is exclusive to Toys"R"Us stores. He was released earlier (with fellow Masterpiece Acid Storm) in limited numbers at San Diego Comic Con 2013.

Concentrated energon cubes are a highly valuable form of universally accepted currency among alien cultures. These tiny green non-glowing cubes measure approximately 6 inches (15.2 cm) on a side and are easily transportable, as well as being less combustible than normal energon cubes. Guess Who the Mecannibals Are Having for Dinner? 2005 IDW continuity With the release of a new tooling of Convoy in 2011, the line was rebooted, featuring a smaller, more consistent scale based on MP-09 Rodimus Convoy, and a significant increase in releases per year. Rather notably, Masterpieces of the smaller characters were introduced. Soundwave has all the articulation you would ever need. He has a waist swivel, fully jointed hips, knees, ankle tilts, double jointed elbows, and essentially two should joints as well. Considering all that Soundwave really needs to do is stand there and look cool, this is more than enough articulation to please most fans. Later on, Soundwave teamed up with his future self, Soundblaster, and with Full-Tilt as the final defense against the Autobots before they reached Megatron and Galvatron. When the Autobots arrived, Soundblaster started by expressing dull surprise at how the Autobots managed to survive up until the current point. Soundwave continued, warning the Autobots that he would not let them stand in Megatron's way. Both the present and future versions of the Communications Officer we all know and love put up the best fight they could, but even with Full-Tilt's help, the Autobots overpowered them. According to rumor in the 24th century, Soundwave sat at the center of the Mandala in Iacon for several centuries during one of the times Iacon was under Decepticon control. Trigger Warnings

Accessories: Missile launcher, missile, shoulder-cannon, blaster/blade, left & right gun pods, "Sideswipe" left forearm A Transformer resembling a particularly dazzling Soundwave (as opposed to the other guy) was a follower of Primus in the Golden Age. Like his fellows, he dutifully assisted Primus in his efforts to confiscate the Seven Lights from his dissenting army the Primus Vanguard and destroy the universe. Behind his impassive expression, Soundwave is as cold and ruthless as they come. He cares nothing for right or wrong, for the advancement of a cause, or the welfare of his fellow Decepticons. All he cares about is information, and he acquires it any way he can. He spies

When the Core was located, it was found to have ruptured. Though the Decepticons attempted to seal the leak, the Autobots closed in, forcing Starscream to carry it away prematurely. Soundwave consulted Teletraan Alpha for instructions on how to repair it, learning that it could be done at a Plasma Energy Interface on Cybertron. When the Core was brought to the Proudstar's command tower, it was sent through the space bridge. Once it was repaired and reinstalled, the cyberforming continued. When the Autobots tried to obtain the Ferrotaxis, they faced off against Soundwave once again, defeating him. Though disappointed by his most loyal follower's defeat, Megatron noted it hardly mattered with regards to his plan. Transformers: Devastation In one possible scenario that followed, the Autobots returned to storm the lab shortly after. Soundwave was one of the few Decepticons too afraid of Galvatron's wrath to desert his post, and attempted to fend off the Autobot aggressors. Finding himself on the losing side, Soundwave grabbed the Brain Drain device, and attempted to flee with it.

Nope, MP-13 is still not "dated", sorry. You can't point to MP-13 and say "oh, that's SOOO 2013" or whatever, or that MP-13 is somehow "out of style" or old fashioned looking. That's a load of BS. By the year 2005 the Autobots had begun to use energon cubes for power as well. The Transformers: The Movie All of his legs are articulated with the front ones being on ball joints. This makes him perhaps one of the most expressive cassettes with loads of personality and presence despite his size. Released in the fourth wave of Authentics Titan Changers, Soundwave transforms from robot to armored vehicle in a few steps. He includes his shoulder cannon and features an opening chest door, thought it opens up to store his head in vehicle mode rather than any cassette minions. MP Soundwave is no ninja but he can pull off a number of satisfying poses. Including gesticulation.A comparison of the red cassette that I got along with the G1 Soundwave and Laserbeak that accompanied the MP one. I wrote ‘red cassette’ because I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be Laserbeak or Buzzsaw – it has one side red and the other yellow so I guess it’s Buzzsaw after all but never mind. What matters is we got two cassettes of the same size so I bet you know where I’m going with this… The hook at the end of his beak is so that when he punctures you, you can't just yank him out. You'll rip off a wad of flesh.

Some time later, Megatron came under the influence of The Fallen, who sought to be freed from the sarcophagus that was his trans-dimensional prison. To this end, Soundwave was assigned captaincy of the newly built spacecraft Nemesis, which would take the sarcophagus across the galaxy to find the world on which The Fallen had built a Star Harvester millennia beforehand. Soundwave and his crew left Cybertron with The Fallen's sarcophagus just before the outbreak of the war.If Hot Rod attempted to shoot the device out of Soundwave's hands, Soundwave tripped at the last moment over the fallen body of a Decepticon. Hot Rod's blast his Soundwave's shoulder, causing him to fling the Brain Drain device up in the air. Laserbeak managed to catch the device in mid-air, and flew off to rendezvous with Galvatron, ensuring the Decepticons’ victory.
