About this deal

First seen in the Kill Team: Rogue Trader boxed set, the Elucidian Starstiders are available separately for the first time. The set comprises a Rogue Trader, a Death Cult Executioner, a Rejuvenant Adept, a Lectro-Maester, a Voidmaster, four Voidsmen, and Canid. The Death Cult Executioner is more than a match for any other operative in melee, while you can lay down covering fire with your rotor cannon and Elucia Vhane’s esoteric weaponry. Gellerpox Infected

And if you’ve still got time for more Warhammer Hobby, we have three two-hour editions of Hang Out and Hobby coming to the Warhammer Twitch Channel. And I can’t leave without leaving my own tier list here based on my absolute opinion based on my national meta and experiences:Easily customise your Death Guard with these torsos. They perfectly encapsulate the XIV Legion and can be used with the plastic Mark III and Mark IV kits or the resin Mark V miniatures. Space Wolves Mark III Torsos Motivation for Violence: Each time this operative performs a Charge action, it can move an additional for that action. The war in the shadows escalates! Amidst ruined cityscapes, carnivorous jungles and hidden strongholds, new kill teams join the fray. From the gruesome Gellerpox Infected to the noble Elucidian Starstriders, each band of warriors brings their own method of war to every desperate battle – in struggles that seem more varied and deadly than ever. Expert assassins and saboteurs slip through patrols of enemy sentries, hoping to complete their bloody tasks and slip away before they are detected, while bands of grizzled warriors faced with impossible odds choose to make their last stand, taking as many of the foe as they can with them to the grave. TheChirurgeon: Swing and a miss here. It’s hard to add something that Death Guard would take, but Mutoid Vermin could have potentially been it if they were Troops or didn’t require Gellerpox Infected. As-is, the big guys are basically slow Spawn and if there’s one thing Death Guard and Chaos Marine armies don’t need, it’s more slow units. This allows you to target enemy operatives for shooting even if they are engaged with OTHER friendly operatives with the provider that any misses will now hit one of your operatives that is engaged with that enemy operative. This is a fantastic ploy, not only is it fun and fluffy, but it is also incredibly useful in situations where you know one of your models is doomed. Moment of Repute

A Blooded Kill Team has a structure akin to a mix of the Veteran Guardsmen and Wyrmblade teams, consisting of: While the armies of the Imperium of Man called the Astra Militarum requires absolute loyalty from its soldiers, the grotesquely inhuman conditions and unempathic leadership of its campaigns inevitably cause squads, regiments and individual soldiers to look for a more rewarding patron than the Emperor and his generals. Such defectors, like so many other desparate victims of Imperial oppression, often end up striking a bargain with the Ruinous Powers of Chaos, and while that bargain is always Faustian in the most literal sense, it often grants a traitorous squadron of battle-weary soldiers some very real rewards in the here and now. The Traitor Ogryn has 16 (!) Wounds and a terrifying Power Maul and Mutant Claw melee weapon with 6 critical damage as well as the Rending and Stun Critical Rules. The grim lens of the 41st Millennium pans away from Vigilus to elsewhere in the Nachmund Gauntlet – Moroch. This frontier world is hastily preparing a desperate defence in the face of onrushing Chaos forces, who want to eject the hated Imperials and claim the only safe passage through the Great Rift. Warpcoven, mighty Sorcerers of the Thousand Sons and their gathered thralls, both mutant and Rubric

The Flenser is another melee specialist with its Skinning Blades that reroll hit rolls of 1 and gains the Lethal 5+ Special Rule if it is close to Light or Heavy terrain when it’s in combat. A situational ploy that allows operatives that do not have a Blooded Token to be treated as if they have one provided they’re within 6 inches of the opponent’s drop zone. Another ploy that emphasizes being up close and aggressive with your opponent, however it is unlikely to be useful until Turning Point 3 or later. It can however provide you some needed buffs in a pinch should you find yourself behind enemy lines. Dirty Fighters John: Voidsmen fit the exact same role as before. You should paint the rogue trader and use it in a DND campaign, and you should own a unit of voidsmen in case you write a 1960 1950 Custodes list. Voidsmen did also lose their ability to get in transports, so they no longer can occupy a Land Speeder Storm in space marine lists, effectively shelving that datasheet. Most imperium armies don’t need a 50 point obsec unit that doesn’t synergise with their rules, and I expect we will see them about as frequently as before. In addition, when you select the Corpseman as part of your kill team you may grant one of the above abilities to an operative prior to mission start. While all three of these abilities are useful, giving Relentless to your melee specialists is a fantastic ability and likely your “go-to” here since many of your operatives are unlikely to survive long enough to need that 2d3 wounds. Once again this operative’s abilities highlight the difference between The Blooded and other horde kill teams as the Corpseman needs to be moving forward along with your other operatives to help pressure the enemy. Traitor Flenser

Score one VP at the end of a Turning Point if you control half or more of the objective markers on the table IF at least one of the operatives controlling each marker has a Blooded Token. Impossible to score during Turning Point one this is a slightly less useful Tac OP than Worthy Champion due to the nature of the blooded tokens, and is much more susceptible to counterplay from your opponent. Kill Team has some really difficult Tac Ops to achieve, while this is far from the hardest you’re unlikely to swap it out for many of the Seek and Destroy options. Bloodbath – Faction Tac Op 3 In the B Tier we have factions which haven’t seen top 8 finishes but are close to being able to make it. They may need a little help and have problems in too many matchups to consistently win without a discrepancy in player skill to overcome the faction differences. So what does the data tell us about team representation at these large events? Keep in mind that this is a small sample, but we have enough common factors to start making some observations. From tiny teams of elite operatives fighting shadow wars around the galaxy, we turn to conflict on a rather larger scale as yet more Chaos Knights emerge into the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, hooting, hollering, and generally carrying on.
