The difference that the Atoll has compared to many other all-around boards is it’s shape being more tapered in the front and back, giving it more of a touring/cruiser shape. The stretchy neoprene neck is very comfy and does not feel restrictive in any way, unlike how a more traditional drysuit with a rubber latex neck seal possibly would. We found the Joyride XL to be very stable, well-built, and a general favorite of larger, more experienced paddlers. I’m thinking the Thurso Surf Tranquility, as my experience with the company has been top notch, but I would be open to entertaining the Blackfin X, as it really looks like the real deal. They also add an extra layer of PVC + carbon fiber to the rails for better protection and stiffness.
