As it is the Lanoguard appears to have taken the edge of the angry rust that is starting to break through. LanoShield AutoBody spray protects the underside of your car from rust and corrosion and is pressure washer safe so lasts a very long time. Clear/transparent after application It comes with a 1m hose so you can leave it on the ground and spray into difficult places. Our research identified products from the USA and also Australia and New Zealand. However, these products all combined the lanolin with a base of naphtha which is a refined petroleum product. Given that the lanolin is naturally occurring, we wanted the final product to be 100% sustainable and from renewable resources and so existing products did not meet our requirement. Clean the chain, gears, nuts, bolts screws first and then apply the LanoShield. This will not only protect your bike but also enable you to wash it without the LanoShield coming off even if using a pressure washer to 3000PSI Other applications Underside of my land Cruiser had just been renovated with rust removal, paint and Upol stonechip so rust coverage was not a problem. Yes, it can be a little messy but every type of water repellent is messy. If you want full coverage, then you have to get into all the nooks and crannies.

Without the natural properties that lanolin has (bonding to metals and hermetically sealing without the need for a keyed surface) a rust-proofing product starts at a disadvantage. It is typically the case that conventional products cannot be sprayed onto existing rust because they don’t work to push off the rust and seep into the metal below. Without the hermetic seal, it’s also far easier for a coating of any product to easily wash off and not last.

Cars 

Many parts of cars are prone to rust and so common areas to use LanoShield are on all bolts and nuts, bulkheads etc. As with trailers we have found the easiest way to apply this is by using a small brush and remember to cover the thread on the bolts as well as all nuts. It can also be applied to your car battery terminals to stop corrosion Dont waste your time with this stuff your just as well spraying any other type of wax/oil on your car as apart from easy application nothing else actually works. For commercial use e.g. lathes, chain, farm machinery, aquaculture etc. our tip is to use a little as it goes a long way. We did however find a solution in lanolin – a by-product of processing sheep’s wool for use in finished woollen products. The lanolin is the natural grease that keeps sheep dry and warm here in the harsh British weather and can be put to good use keeping our trailers and other equipment waterproof and resistant to rust and corrosion. Self-Healing Properties: Lanolin-based greases have self-healing properties, which means that if the protective layer gets scratched or damaged, the grease can flow and fill in the gaps, resealing the surface and maintaining its protective function. This helps to ensure continuous protection against rust, even if there are minor abrasions or scratches on the metal surface. The lanoguard looks easy to apply with no washing guns etc and you don't have to do it all at once and easy to touch up but its twice the price of waxoyl. First time using this product so was interested to see how it worked. Previously used Waxoyl to reasonable effect but this can be difficult to apply unless using the aerosol version. Fishing equipment 

I’ve noticed lately that the lovely clean axles and running gear on my Series III is starting to show signs of rust. I had seen ads for Lanoguard, a simple spray on liquid that appears to preserve the metal bits and gets them looking tidy again. If heating LanoShield please be aware that it can get very hot so precautions should be taken. Though the product is non-hazardous it can be hard to get off so we recommend using protective gloves

I did have a little trouble getting the sprayer to work, but found if I stood the container of Lanoguard in a bowl of warm water it made the Lanoguard runny enough to be pulled up by the spray pump. There is very little prep required, just bush off any loose dirt and start spraying. You can wipe any excess down with a cloth. In summary, LanoShield prevents and stops corrosion.
