Clarity is a particular strong point, though the timing does tend to fall down a little. Still, it's a very impressive performance indeed, with a full-bodied sound led by a clear, upfront treble. It's especially impressive given the budget price. Machined in one piece, the metal earphone body makes the E10 robust and ready for the rigours of everyday life, whatever you throw at them. These earphones are built to last. Their visual impact could not be more different, though. I have recommended the SoundMagic E10 to countless people over the years, but I have never liked their paint jobs much. The entry-level models have a brash two-tone design that will look, to some, juvenile. As a relatively cheap IEM, it is likely the E11C will be paired primarily with modest sources such as smartphones that generally features lower output. Just about everything else has changed, though. The E11C sound far more dynamic than the E10 and most other budget pairs of earphones.Another great pair of SoundMagic budget earphones, the E11C in-ears continue the fine work of their predecessors and deliver an entertaining, upfront sound, complete with a remote control and mic. And we can’t argue with that. Now, lets compare E11C to Final E3000C, which is a little more expensive but roughly in the same price range. E3000C has a minimalistic and sleek design, with a beautifully machined stainless steel body. Soundwise, E3000C has less and better-controlled bass, giving the impression of clearer mids and a more detailed higher end that results in a more tonally balanced and relaxed presentation. On the other hand, E11C, due to its bigger driver of 10mm compared to the 6.4mm driver of E3000c, is more dynamic. I can recall the cables on the E10 feeling a bit fragile as well as having a very light build. The E11C has improved prominently on these two areas. It also has a nice color scheme and a sturdy build on the cable making the E11C look way more premium than the E10. Both the cable and molding feel strong and it doesn’t get tangled easily. The SoundMagic E11C are more grown-up, with subtler colours and a large matt segment in place of a glossy one. SoundMagic calls the finish silver, but there’s actually a subtle gold hint that further softens the tone.
