You'll see 'Audio Recording' half way down the screen. Use the button on the right of 'Audio Recording' to disable the sounds from the camera. Green is on, grey is off. The first thing I thought of was, no pendulum vibration like the current mountings and as advertised, more discrete. If you go into My Computer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) you will be able to see the Dash Cam listed as a drive, usually called NEXTBASE.

Nextbase service was very prompt in their response to my query, which was responded very well by their customer specialist Frederico. It now looks like nextbase is asking for more information regarding my review, if they do this and I do not reply then the review gets removed. Ask away nextbase. Need more information? , how about this. Your app doesn't connect to the camera. You clearly need to do something about it. I only hope it records and saves crash footage properly!! Plug your Dash Cam in. Ensure the cable is plugged directly into the Dash Cam in the correct port (under the side flap of the camera). If it does not appear as a drive on your PC, please try all the USB ports on your computer. The camera makes notification tones for a variety of reasons, such as turning on or off, if an SD card format required, connecting to the app etc.

a) Plug the SD card into the SD card port, or plug the provided USB cable into the port on the top of the camera. Had one or two minor issues and spoke direct to Nextbase helpline who were brilliant talking me through the options to remedy. If you cannot format the card via the app, you could remove the card and open it on your computer in a card reader, and simply delete the files. This is not as good as formatting but will free up the space. I read/write to my Mac Pro’ SDD millions of times weekly and it seems to function fine. Why does a basic dashcam not cope with writing/reading…? No different to a DSLR or video camera!?
