About this deal

Even closer, within walking distance is a restaurant which serves delicious meals, both at lunch and dinner. Apartment was beautiful and most relaxing after lots of day trips out to all the beautiful places around." Award-winning food is served in a candlelit dining room, which boasts open log fires. The Michelin-recommended menu includes freshly caught fish, Aberdeen Angus beef, homemade breads and other seasonal ingredients. The closest village of Spean Bridge (10 minutes by car) offers a Cashmere Factory outlet and a convenience store as well as a great restaurant featured in the MIchelin Guide. There is also a hotel offering food 200 yards from the house itself. For those looking for that home away from home experience, there are eight inviting mountain-style self-catering cabins on the hotel grounds.

Boasting spectacular views of Loch Lochy and the surrounding mountains, the apartment places a family of four right in the glorious Scottish countryside. Glad you loved the views from the house and made most of it and the enjoyed the sight seeing. Sarah and Anil Property Owner We are delighted to read your review and see how much you enjoyed staying at Lochside. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Sarah & Anil Property Owner

Only slight downside we were unable to get a taxi to Spean Bridge as no companies went as far as the house and there were no takeaways, but we made the most of the kitchen in the house instead of eating out. Move upstairs to reveal the remaining bedrooms, including the spacious master with a lovely Juliette balcony with glass balustrade, again affording spectacular views of the mountains and loch. Fantastic views right on the loch side with the mountain behind and perfect location for us to explore the area." We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Lochy Lookout and, in over ten years of self-catering holidays, would rate it as one of the best places we have ever stayed!"

The views are breathtaking, the property is beautiful, great hosts, literally they have thought of everything to make sure we was welcome, everything was provided for, it felt like we was at home, Other than food, there was nothing we needed, they even provided kitchen towels and toilet roll which was particularly pleasing." Each of the luxurious guest rooms are traditionally and individually furnished. Featured in every room is a TV, telephone, and a full private bathroom. Many of the rooms also have views of the Loch. The hotel accommodation enjoys outstanding views over Loch Lochy and has its own jetty. In our Loch View Hotel Restaurant you will be served the finest produce from the Scottish Highlands’ rich natural larder, king scallops, Aberdeen angus beef and home made breads and puddings from our ever changing daily menu, which has earned us the Scottish tourist boards “Eat Scotland” Silver award and Michelin Recommendation. Fort William (10 miles) is known as the 'outdoor capital of the UK' with lots of activities to try from skiing and snowboarding at the ski resort to mountain biking on the Witches Trails or sea kayaking on Loch Eil. Whilst in Fort William it is worth stopping off at The Ben Nevis Distillery for a tour or tasting session, or simply to buy some whisky to take home. History enthusiasts will want to pay a visit to the West Highland Museum for a fascinating insight into Highland life. For a less adrenaline filled holiday, Skye Fall is a wonderful home from home, ideal for touring the West Coast, The Islands of Skye and Mull, and of course, Loch Ness. An hour from Skye Fall, and approached by a beautiful drive along Loch Ness, lies Inverness, the principal town in the region. A trip on the famous Harry Potter steam train over to Mallaig is essential or drive along the Road to The Isles and wonder at the beauty of the area. Excellent holiday home well situated for exploring the area and with stunning views over Loch Lochy."
