Following a preliminary medical screening carried out by trained personnel from the German Aerospace Center, Institute of Medicine (DLR Cologne), 3 healthy participants (1 female, 29.7 ± 3.06 years) and 9 healthy participants (3 female, 28.3 ± 5.63 years) provided written informed consent to participate in the parabolic flight study and centrifuge study, respectively. All participants in the parabolic flight had passed the equivalent of an Air Force Class III medical examination.
