About this deal

Wherever the Raptors prowl, ghostly voices and horrific threats are broadcast into enemy communications networks, the skies are haunted by daemonic faces, and evil shrieks echo through the night so that their sleep-deprived quarry is driven to the edge of madness.

Master of Possession [7 PL, -1CP, 120pts]: Bolt pistol, Frag & Krak grenades, Gifts of Chaos [-1CP], Liber Hereticus, Mark of Slaanesh [1 PL, 15pts], Mutated Invigoration, Pact of Flesh, Smite, Staff of Possession For secondaries, JONK’s list also doesn’t have a lot of targets for me to go after and maxing secondaries will be difficult. The Deployment zones are small and the Infiltrators are a pain so I took Engage on All Fronts instead of Linebreaker on this one, with Deploy Scramblers again and Assassinate. Maxing out at 9 points for a kill secondary isn’t great but I didn’t have the units to double up on actions and I felt like I could kill all three of JONK’s characters during the game, and 9 points seemed like an OK deal. Fortunately, JONK helped me out by taking While We Stand, We Fight, which made each of his characters an 8-point swing waiting to happen. He also took Oaths of Moment and Engage on All Fronts to round out the secondary set. Horus was the fulcrum around which the Chaos Space Marines pivoted from loyalty to heresy. He was the Warmaster of all Space Marines until a combination of hubris, plotting, and a magic knife led him to the welcoming arms of Chaos.

Dark Apostle [6 PL, 110pts]: Accursed crozius, Bolt pistol, Frag & Krak grenades, Illusory Supplication, Mark of Slaanesh [1 PL, 15pts] When Horus fell, it was a time of great despair for all Chaos Space Marines – and none felt that despair more keenly than his own legion, the Sons of Horus. Eventually they managed to reform through strength of will alone, and that strength came from one of the Sons of Horus’ most powerful and fearsome warriors: Abaddon.

Lucoryphus - Lucoryphus is the commander of a thirty-man strong cell of the Bleeding Eye Raptor Cult that originally served Abaddon the Despoiler, but eventually left his service to ally themselves with a fellow Night Lords warband known as The Exalted. This warband was eventually decimated by an Eldar warhost from Craftworld Ulthwé on the Daemon World Tsagualsa, the former base of operations and homeworld of the Night Lords Traitor Legion. Specific rules for using the various factions that fought on Vigilus, including: datasheets for Marneus Calgar, his Victrix Guard and Haarken Worldclaimer; 22 Specialist Detachments, each portraying the many unique fighting styles of the factions that fought on Vigilus as well as new Warlord Traits, Relics, and Stratagems unique to each Detachment. [2] Such gruesome displays demonstrate the inevitability of Abaddon's will, and the wholesale butchery of the embattled world's greatest warriors eradicate any fragments of hope that remain on the targeted planet. Death Guard - Forces from the Apostles of Contagion, Bilious Ones, Bringers of Putrid Salvation, Brotherhood of Reaping, Festerlung Brotherhood, Filthfavoured, Prophets of the Seven, Putrid Brotherhood, Putrid Choir, Selminster's Curse, and the Carrion Hounds Word Bearers - Forces from the Bringers of Enlightenment, Holy Sons of Lorgar, Iconoclastic Brotherhood, Ivory Fang, Runic Blazon, Screaming Mind, and Sons of DamnationYou then make a Charge roll for the charging unit by rolling 2D6. The result is the maximum number of inches each model in that unit can be moved if a Charge move is possible. For a Charge move to be possible, the Charge roll must be sufficient to enable the charging unit to end that move: At the same time, the pride and spirit of the Space Marines that became the Raptors has been perverted into a vain belief in their own superiority over all other creatures, which is often expressed in acts of unspeakable cruelty. Lufgt Huron was not overly devoted to the Imperium, however, and, over time, began to stray from official doctrine. Eventually he led the Red Corsairs in rebellion, taking over the planet Badab and making it his own personal kingdom. We invite you to delve into the darker side of the Warhammer 40,000 universe with us and learn just who the Chaos Space Marines are, where they come from, and how they work in Warhammer 40k 10th edition.
