In a world inhabited by mythic creatures, magic was commonplace millennia ago, though difficult to master. After technological advances over the centuries, magic became obsolete and was largely discarded. It is also the first Disney film to be accompanied by one not distributed through Walt Disney Pictures, but instead 20th Century Studios. While the COVID-19 pandemic continues in full force in many parts of the world, there are some places where the outbreak is contained enough that things are starting to reopen. This includes limited business in movie theaters in a handful of markets. Here’s a round-up of what we’re seeing around the world this week. This is the third Pixar film to be accompanied by a non-Pixar short film and also the fourth not to be an original one, but instead based on an already-existing property. This is the second Pixar film to feature a non-Pixar short, in this case, a The Simpsons short, the first being Coco, featuring Olaf's Frozen Adventure.
