I would like to thank #SherylBrowne, #Netgalley and #Bookouture for an ARC of #MyHusbandsHouse in exchange for an honest review.This well-structured, multi-layered storyline was powerful, well-paced, highly textured and intense. The cut-it-with-a-knife atmosphere, for the most part was desperately cloying and claustrophobic, yet totally immersive. The tension mounted exponentially, with a situation which had at first seemed manageable, fast careening out of control. If you succeed in this claim you will not only get a higher weekly income but you will also be able to get help with things like council tax, fuel bills, a free TV licence and so forth. Taking place over one week, we have a front row seat to the unnamed MC’s love obsession with her husband. And how those unexpected twists and turns just kept coming – from the very first, to the very final word!… This is the sixth book I have read by this author. I have previously read 'My Husbands Girlfriend', 'Her First Child' 'The Invite', 'Do I Know You?' and 'The Liar's Child' and would highly recommend them all!!

I notice how hard you work to support this family, and I want you to know how much I appreciate everything you do — and especially the way you do it. This book grabbed me from the beginning. Sophie is struggling with her husbands dishonesty, so she creates a group for wild swimming. What is wild swimming? Basically the act of swimming in any body of water formed in nature, rather than a pool. For Sophie’s group, their meeting place is a lake. Meeting these women and jumping into the frigid waters brought them close enough they decided to take a vacation together to an extremely remote loch in Scotland.It's a seven or so hour drive to the layby in which they leave the car for the 90 minute hike through a single file trail to their remote cabin far away from any kind if civilisation. They are barely into the trip when Sophie gets an urgent call from Ryan. The woman he had an affair with is part of Sophie's group and she has been stalking her for the best part of six months. She asks who but he refuses to tell her. He begs her to turn around and come home but she ignores his pleas. She will just have to uncover her husband's mistress for herself. You are the missing piece of my heart that I never knew was missing. It may sound cliche, but you complete me.

The girls go away on a much needed break, where they can swim all morning, walk on the beaches and drink wine every night by a fire and share stories. I’ve always found tranquil, partnerships uninteresting. Couples that don’t ever argue come off as inferior, and I’ve always suspected they love each other less. But I’ve also always refused to engage in ordinary squabbles. That my husband doesn’t do the dishes after dinner, or doesn’t know how to iron a shirt is annoying, but those are obstacles I can overcome; on the other hand, I don’t know that I would be able to bear such a banal argument for such trivial a reason”.
